This lovely ocean front park opened in 2013 and is a great addition to Kure Beach! It has a wonderful play area for kids with a cute pirate themed play area. There’s also a pavilion where they have concerts during the season and other activities. A calendar of events is listed at the website. The pavilion is also available for private rentals.
There’s also a spruced up boardwalk with huge wooden swings to sit at and watch the waves roll in and the activity on the beach and at the nearby pier. The pathway is lit at night which really adds to the experience.
