2014, Enjoying our 16th year sharing our passion!

16 years ago, on November 5, 1998, Angela Marshall began the 312 mile paddle down the NC coast from Knott’s Island, Virginia ending in Carolina Beach, NC that started Kayak Carolina and the many adventures that we’ve shared over the years with you exploring the Carolina coast by kayak. Meet the Business Owner

Angela M.

Business Owner

Angela has been teaching kayaking and guiding nature tours since 1992. She has lived along the marshes and ocean most of her life; thus, has a deep love and understanding of the sea. For the last ten years she has developed a full Kayak Nature Tour and Instruction Guide Training Course and Manual. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Studies from Emory University, has certifications from the American Canoe Association for Coastal Kayaking Instruction, American Red Cross First Aid, and CPR.

In November of 1998 she paddled the coast of North Carolina from Virginia Beach to Wilmington, an Outer Banks Expedition that explored the inside coasts of the Outer Banks and kayak camped all along the way. Angela enjoys all types of kayaking: touring, sea, surf, white water as well as wildlife and bird watching «As long as I’m out on the water, I’m happy!»
