Trinity Inspection

I am a home seller, not a home buyer. I am licensed real estate agent in PA and NJ. Trinity Inspection has inspected 5 homes where I have been the seller or involved on the seller side of the transaction. Every time Trinity has inspected the home, the buyer has requested steep discounts related to inspections. The seller, or myself, has never granted these discounts as they were never warranted in my opinion. The seller would have made repairs where necessary, but each buyer always wanted a discount, not a repair.
In my opinion, the inspector is overstating the significance of his findings, which is against ASHI code of ethics. I called to file a complaint with ASHI and was told they don’t take complaints about ASHI inspectors. Go figure.
A previous reviewer stated they had similar experiences that happened to me on a recent inspection. The owner/​inspector tracked mud through the home, and in general left the whole house disheveled. He also stated the roof needed to be replaced, but it was previously inspected by a roofer who said it would be a complete waste of money to replace the roof as it is expected to last 10+ more years. He also stated the chimney needed to be rebuilt. The same chimney was inspected by a chimney professional 6 weeks prior and was inspected and deemed to be fine.
The owner/​inspector also was talking bad about me, the seller, saying he has problems with our homes, which couldn’t be further from the truth.
If you’re a seller, I would stand your ground and prove why these inspection items don’t make any sense. I am a real estate professional, so I know better than to allow frivolous credits requested via these inspections, but you might not know better. As a buyer, you should perform your due diligence when hiring a professional to inspect your home.

Marc and Val at Trinity Inspection are friendly, detailed oriented and treat their client’s with respect. Having made the mistake of using a «budget friendly» inspector on our first property, Marc’s observations are worth the extra expense. If by chance Marc notices something is amiss he’ll go the extra distance and get to the bottom of it. In our case, at no extra cost, he reached out to the Township regarding an alleged permit and was able to save us thousands on costly repairs just to be brought up to code before we moved in. You won’t be disappointed with Marc!

My fiancé and I are first time homebuyers, so we’ve been very meticulous about doing things properly for our home purchase. After reading all of the great reviews about Trinity Inspection and seeing that they offer the 90 day warranty and money back guarantee, we were pretty confident they would do a great job on our inspection. After requesting online that they contact us for a quote and to set up an inspection, Valerie was very prompt to get in touch with us. After exchanging a few emails, we spoke on the phone and she was very sweet and polite and scheduled us several days later for our inspection.
Marc showed up to the home early and had his computer and everything setup and ready to go before we even got there. He brought his 2 oldest sons with him to help and they were as equally professional, friendly, and polite as Marc was. We followed Marc throughout the entire home and property as he inspected and took pictures for documentation. He was fantastic at explaining and pointing out everything that he saw. At no point during the inspection did I feel like Marc was uncertain of what he was talking about or giving us the runaround. If you’re looking for a thorough home inspection by someone who is very knowledgeable and will be completely honest with you about their findings, Trinity Inspection is absolutely the way to go.

Marc and Trinity Inspection came highly recommended from our realtor and were accommodating to our demanding work schedules with short notice. The entire process of our home inspection was effortless from start to finish. Upon arrival to our appointment, Marc provided us with our own personalized binder which contained a book on «how to maintain your home.» Although a small gesture, it was appreciated for us first-​time home buyers. Marc was extremely thorough — I honestly do no think he missed a single inch of our home inside or outside. He also walked us through the inspection as he conducted the job, explaining/​suggesting why and how things should be repaired. We were extremely confident at the end of the inspection that there was nothing that was missed. Within three days, Marc emailed us an extremely detailed report with numerous photos and explanations of important details. With Marc’s expertise and attention to detail, we feel at ease knowing our investment is one of great quality. Also, Trinity provides you with a 90 day warranty in case anything was missed (although we know nothing was!) Great job!

Marc runs a very detailed and thorough shop. I was fortunate enough to hire him to inspect one of my homes. Marc was even sharp enough to call out an incorrect type of screw that was used on the electric panel. That may seem like a small thing, and it is, but it’s reassuring to know that someone is paying close attention to your investment. Valarie also made it very easy to set up the appointment as she worked directly with the real estate agent and communicated with me throughout the process. The final deliverable was a detailed binder in color that itemized every detail of the house. Well done!

Honestly, I do not write reviews unless I have a truly memorable experience (whether it is good or bad.) My home inspection with Marc and dealings with his wife, Valerie, were outstanding! I am honestly a VERY critical person and the fact that there were not many reviews on Unilocal about this company had me leery at first– but after finding some elsewhere & speaking with Valerie on the phone we decided they were the best fit for us. Boy, I am glad I trusted my instincts. Marc was SO thorough, polite, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He will tell the truth about the home he is inspecting, no matter who is footing the bill– which is admirable, considering many in his profession might skip over some issues here or there to stay in the favor of certain realtors etc. Anyway, I learned a lot from our inspection and Marc was kind enough to answer all of my many questions, leaving my husband and I feeling confident our about our home and the minor issues it had. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants an honest, thorough inspection and a person to turn to (with a warranty) if things go wrong with the house your are purchasing down the road!

Awesome home inspector. Totally thorough. Worth every penny. He spent 4 hours going through my 2000 sq ft home and sent me a binder full of notes within a few days. It was almost overwhelming the amount of things he noticed — but hey, that’s what you want from an inspector! I highly recommend Marc!
