After tagging along on a survey job with the BF we were all getting pretty hungry. We asked the guy working at the Kremmling FBO where would be good to grab a bite and he sent us to Los Amigos. It was early afternoon when we got here and there were maybe four other patrons in the restaurant. After browsing the menu that featured your usual Mexican restaurant staples I chose to nosh on the chicken fajita burrito. It was delicious! Such great flavor! The service was slower than we expected, but that wasn’t an issue since we weren’t in a hurry. Our server kept us well supplied with chips, salsa, and bean dip to curb our appetites while we waited. All in all a decent experience and I’d be back if I were in the area.

I have traveled across the Southwest and to California and eaten at many great places on this trip. Los Amigos had, by far, the best carnitas of them all. Great taco and enchilada as well. If Grand County has a better Mexican restaurant, I would love to hear about it.

After hiking and driving all day, I just wanted a cold beer and a good meal. I was about to head to one other place that was recommended to me, but Mexican food just sounded so perfect. At first I thought I would play it safe and just get a cheese enchilada plate, but at the last minute I tried the chicken mole. It was outstanding. My server, who seemed to be running the whole show by himself, kept my beverages flowing and checked on me a few times even though I was the only one out on the patio and he certainly had his hands full with other customers inside. Definitely hit the spot and was a good experience all around!

Pretty decent food for being seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Small hole in the wall atmosphere, but the staff offered a few smiles to welcome us. We were pretty starving, so yes, anything would have tasted good, The food wasn’t bad but nothing to write home about. They have beer, so that’s a plus! Service was a bit slow, but again, they had beer.

The sign says«best Mexican food in grand county», and even though there may only be 3 or so Mexican joints in the county, I still find it hard to believe. In short, bland food, long wait times, but friendly staff. We were seated a few minutes before noon on a Sunday and the restaurant was full. Our party consisted of me, my wife, and our two kids. It took about 5 minutes for someone to come to our table. There was one waitress, one cook, and the manager who told us they were slammed and the food would take a while. Given the situation, I had a lot of sympathy for the waitress due to the situation, but service was still painfully slow. She was polite and pleasant, but it took 15 minutes to put in our food orders, 45 minutes to get our food after that, and about 15 minutes to get our check when we were done. The whole lunch took about an hour and a half. We did not get refill for 40 minutes while waiting on the food. At least we had chips. Unfortunately, the food did not make up for the wait. The chips and salsa was pretty decent, but my tamales were dry and flavorless. The rice and beans were pretty average. My wife had the torta with carnitas and fries. The carnitas were good, but the torta was not made with fry bread, and fries were limp and not done. The two kids meals(quesadilla and taquitos) were a good value at $ 3.50, and probably the best part of it all. Most of the folks I saw got the $ 6.50 smothered burritos, which may have been a lot better choice. Somehow, the local priest came in and got his burrito in 15 minutes. He was in, ate, and gone all while we were waiting on our food. Definately some priority issue here… We drive from denver to steamboat often, and there is a reason we rarely eat in kremmling.

When you are hungry and you’ve been on the road all morning, this is a welcome spot for basic Mexican type grub. We enjoyed our large burritos. One veggie and one chicken. Just right. Great refries too. Server was very friendly and efficient. The place is clean. What else do you need?

Loved our visit here. The service was attentive, the food was great. The place was hoppin’ for a teeny town on a Thursday night. Good sign!

I think this place is pretty good. The food isn’t the best I have had but I wouldn’t turn away from it; besides, it is the only mexican place I know of within about 40 or so miles. I have had a few things there and they have all been pretty good. The service is average, never had an issue, and the price seems just fine. If you are driving through or just can’t wait, stop in.

Happy waitress. Great margs. Get the one with the extra shot. Or really what is the point? Clean bathroom. Standard fried, fatty, overstuffed, cheese filled chile rellenos just like I like ‘em.

Stopped here on our way back from Steamboat Springs and it was just perfect. Well priced, authentic, and delicious Mexican food. I had the chicken fajitas and my roommate had the cheese enchilada and guacamole tostada. My chicken fajitas were amazing and whatever they cooked them in had a hint of sweetness. I would have liked more guacamole with my entrée — my portion was about the size of a quarter. We both got iced teas and they were really diligent about refilling them. Perfect after a day in the sun. My roommate enjoyed her entrée but when I tried it I thought that the guacamole was a little bland. Don’t get me wrong — the avocado was clearly ripe and well prepared but the guac needed onions, or even some salt. I think it was just mashed avocados. Our waitress was really friendly and courteous. I can’t wait to go back!

Great road food alternative to the chains. Not the best Mexican food, but not bad with huge portions. More than adequate for a lunch stop on your way through.

go to one of the other places in town if you must eat in this town. or go to the gas station and get some beef jerky instead. unless you are dying for some mexican food, then your time could probably be spent better. bland food, slow service, boring décor. 2 *s cuz the hot sauce isn’t too bad, and the food doesn’t SUCK — just isn’t good.

No, this is not the best Mexican food I have ever tasted. However, there is apparently NOWHERE in Kremmling to eat breakfast other than Subway. I popped in here at 10:30 and they seated us despite the fact that I don’t really think they were open. And they offered a breakfast burrito as an option even though it’s not listed on the menu. I would go back again without crying about it, but largely because there was no other choice.

We drove to Steamboat Springs last weekend and made Kremmling our lunch stop. Los Amigos is the hot spot for locals and advertises the best margarita in Grand county. The service is friendly and the location is easy to get in and clean. I would give an extra star for this alone but the food was just not up to par. I had huevos and sausage and never did figure out what the sausage was; the Husband said it looked like scrapple. His enchilada and chili rellano had way too much cheese and not enough flavor. The lady at the next table was sniffing her shrimp and complaining about the smell; she finally pushed them to the side of her shrimp salad. I could hear her husband telling her she should have known better than to order shrimp in Kremmling. I can see where this would be a fun place to drink and eat chips especially if you live in Grand County. However, I think I will pass and stop at one of the other places in town if lunch is needed between Denver and Steamboat Springs.
