History

Established in 1996.

The Taro Fields was openned in 1996 at the Kauai Marriott Resort & Beach Club in Lihue, Hawaii by the Grande family. For 10 years, The Taro Fields gained a reputation among the Marriott’s return visitors and locals alike for its beautiful line of clothing that reflect the island lifestyle.

In 2006, the Smith-​Templeman Family purchased Taro Fields from the Grandes and continued the store’s tradition of luxurious island clothing. Under their ownership, The Taro Fields has expanded to a second boutique location at the Waiohai Beach Club in June 2007, launched tarofields​.com in September 2008 and opened a third location in the Princeville Shopping Center in April 2009.
