Whoever said this is the«In n out» of Kauai is lost. Smallest burgers ever here. Never going back.

Maybe we’re spoiled with In-n-Out burger, but Bubba is just ok, nothing to brag about. Their burger is just ok, it’s hard to eat burger without lettuce or tomato(per their recommendation). The onion ring portion was small.

We ate at the Hanalei location. Bubba’s has excellent burgers, fries, and onion rings!

We learned many years ago we’re not fans of Bubba’s actual burger. However, the chili cheese fries and chili dog are our go to. First night there…“Bubba’s booty bomb combo?” «Yep!» Don’t share tight spaces with someone you love after eating it but dang it’s worth the after effects. As far as people complaining about the price, I don’t get it. It was easily one of the cheapest meals the whole month we were in the islands.

I’ve been coming to Kauai for years and finally tried bubbas. Ehhh! It was okay, but overpriced. Ono char and brenneckes have a better tasting burger.

If you’re looking for decent late night food, then this is the place. It is by no means a fancy gourmet burger place, but it hit the spot for what we were looking for. The inside of the restaurant is kind of dingy looking, but also had character. Service was quick as we got our food to-go. I got the bubba burger and my husband got the SOB. We also got a side of onion rings. We felt our food was comparable to In-n-Out Burger(ca fast food joint that is very well liked) but slightly better. He really enjoyed the chili on his burger. The onion rings were very crispy and not soggy at all, which I was happy about. Overall, good place to go for fast and easy dinner.

Burgers, fries, onion rings, and corn dogs. We hit up Bubba’s before heading to airport and everyone was really happy. I got the Big Bubba. Nothing fancy, but the burger was exactly what I wanted.

The hamburger place is not that bad. They serve really good souvenir items such as hats, shirts and pins. Plus, the Bubba burger is my favorite.

Some of the best burgers I’ve ever had. We kept coming back for more. It was the best priced, filling meals that we found in that area. I really loved their burgers and the milkshakes were good too. I really loved that they scream your name when your order is ready, we found that charming. No big lines if you don’t go at the supper time rush. We loved Kauai and this was our go to place for an easy quick inexpensive supper.

As others have stated, it’s a step up from fast food burger places but not as good as Dukes but that’s okay. Priced slightly high, but the quality of the burgers are noticeable and the seasoned fries are really good. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing! Will visit again!

I make it a point to always come to one of their locations when visiting. We were staying in Poipu so we went to this one. I ordered the bubba burger with cheese and chili fries. Very delicious and can’t wait to come here again.

Good burgers! We got the Kauai Burger and a Bubba Burger with cheese. Freshly cooked. I asked for well done fries and that’s what I got. About the same price as burgers at the chains but the food was much better than theirs. We were not disappointed!

So I basically got a happy meal burger without the toy and it was pricey for what you got. The line was ridiculously long, which I wouldn’t mind if the end result would be an amazing burger. But to my dismay I was left hungry. The patty itself wasn’t terrible since it is Kauai beef but it just felt like a McDonald’s with the price and standards of wholefoods. Parking was rough too. And the customer service was meh. Told them we had never been there and it was our first time and they made a looks that said«like so» and literally just stared at us waiting for us to order. In the words of miss Swift we are Never ever getting back together.

Really enjoyed our first time. I never get two patties but ordered the double bubba based off everyone’s reviews. Simple but delicious and didn’t feel overloaded after. We also ordered fries and onion rings and enjoyed both. Only reason for giving 4 stars was because they charge for any extras(ranch, refills, etc.).

Got the classic burger, which is a fancier version of Mickey D’s hamburger. The bun was light and fluffy, but the stuff inside was just okay. $ 6 for a tiny mediocre burger is quite pricey, but you’re in a fancy shopping area and there are tv’s for you to watch a game.

Tasty burgers, good fries, solid lunch choice. Appreciate the locally sourced beef. Teri burger was not too flavorful and had chopped raw onions which kept falling out. I would choose a regular cheeseburger no onions next time. Or maybe chili and rice, that looked awesome. Frings were good but a small portion, everyone may want to get their own instead of sharing. A big cooler holds ice water for an easy, free beverage.

Cheap, but not that different from McDonald’s double cheeseburger. Great onion rings. Decent chilli on the fries. Yes, it may be Kauai beef, but it was still a thin patty, quite dry by overcooking but without much char. Service was quite slow, maybe 20 minutes to get the burgers on a weekday afternoon. McDonald’s is much faster. Yes, it could be better, there’s plenty of places in the US that do things better at the same price point(like Shake Shack). For example, they could make the patties with a smaller diameter but thicker, and then fry them on higher heat to keep the inside moist and tender and the outside charred. Still gets 3* for the prices, which are friendly for Kauai, and for the sides which are much better than McDonald’s.

I feel like Bubba and I are on a first name basis. While I have a meager two check-in’s, I’ve eaten here more than that. The meat, as noted by the establishment is Kauai grown. In someways this place seems out off kilter with a Southern theme/Kauai. But it works for them. What works for me are the burgers and there is no shortage of varieties and specials to change things up. New customers should note that Bubba’s is like most of Kauai: Prices are higher because you are on an island. But don’t let that keep you away(If you want a cheap burger McDonald’s has invaded the island) the food is good here and worthy of your patronage!

Tasty spot! Just had their double burger. It tastes similar to 5 guys, but better. Personally I am still stuck on In-N-Out, but it was worth trying here. The burger didn’t really taste that unique, but if you’re craving one, definitely stop by. Note that a pickle is $ 2 and Jalapenos are $ 0.50.

Simply linked in our family memories to the aloha spirit of Kauai. Been to all locations and this new one walking distance from our hotel… Funky… Kitschy… Native and like home. Many many burgers fringe giant pickles have been consumed by my family over the last quarter century at Bubbhas. Before I get mushy… There is Something unique… Grass fed beef? Maui onions? Wild chickens running at your feet? Or maybe the salt air and spending time in the ocean and sun build up the most massive appetite that is uniquely satisfied by a double bubbha! Da bomb brah!
