The District Gallery & Framery, located in the heart of Bearden in Knoxville, represents the work of local, regional, and national fine artists and craftsmen. With fine art ranging from traditional landscape paintings to abstract expressionist work, photography and mixed media, we can accommodate traditional and modern /​contemporary tastes alike. The gallery also carries pottery, sculpture, blown glass, artisan jewelry, fiber wearables, home accents, unique gifts and more. Gallery services include residential and corporate art consulting, delivery and installation.

With over 25 years of custom framing expertise, we are pleased to offer the finest quality in creative framing and display solutions for the home or business. Framery services include custom picture framing, professional art and frame restoration, design consultations, delivery and installation.

The District Gallery & Framery serves residential and commercial clients as well as designers.

History

Established in 2011.

East Tennessee natives Jeff and Denise Hood are delighted to share their passion with the local community. The opening of The District Gallery seemed an obvious decision for the couple, an ideal way to blend their two very different careers. Jeff is the creative side of the team, with an education background in graphic arts and over 20 years in the gallery and framing business. He’s framed just about anything you could imagine and has installed artwork from Key West to Canada. Denise is the detail gal of the Hood duo and part owner of Hood and McMasters Court Reporting firm. After 25 years in the court reporting business, Denise’s enthusiasm for building relationships is now spilling over into the art industry. She believes every handcrafted item has a story to tell, a story that bridges the gap between artist and patron. Jeff and Denise live in Seymour with the other members of Team Hood (and creative geniuses-​in-​training), their children Caroline and Carter (and dog, Max).
