Paige Keisler was the worst thing to ever happen to me. She started out nice when we were playing with Play-Doh and not doing any real work. Then when we started doing work, she completely changed. She couldn’t handle the subject matter so she decided I wasn’t worthy of her help. She allowed me to take off my insulin pump(which is very deadly) and then proceeded to tell me for 90 minutes why I was doing everything wrong. All while my blood sugar was skyrocketing and ketones were building in my blood. She didn’t do ANYTHING to try and help me and let me drive with a blood sugar over 600. I wound up on life support and in the ICU for over two weeks. I would catch her constantly not listening and saw that her personal phone was in her lap. I would ask her a serious question and she would reply«Uh huh!!!» with a huge smile on her face. I would then have to repeat my question, sometimes twice. In my opinion, she is way too young and inexperienced to be working with people who have REAL problems. She needs to just work with small kids who are dealing with small problems like trouble in school. She admitted to me many times that she has no experience with the complicated issues. I had more experience than her and had to tell her how things work! She would always tell me to call/email or text if I needed anything and my calls for help went unanswered and she would lie about not getting emails. I caught her in many lies as a matter of fact. When you talk to her and try to tell her how you feel she barely listened. Her favorite phrases are«Well from my perspective…» and«I would be doing you a disservice if I didn’t tell you another way to think…» She couldn’t just listen and be sympathetic. She always tried to make you think the way she did. The definition of therapist is: a person who helps people deal with mental or emotional problems by talking about those problems. TALKINGABOUTTHOSEPROBLEMS. NOT pushing what your beliefs are. You meet your clients where they are… not where you think they should be. I’m much smarter than she is(proven by IQ, not my opinion!) and I think she held that against me. Not a way for a «professional» to act. Leave your insecurities at the door and do your job to the best of your ability. Paige Keisler does not have that ability.
