We specialize in quality veterinary medicine at reasonable rates. Our services are mobile as well as stationary, so we are able to serve South Central Kentucky and surrounding areas. Our clients range in size from the backyard owner with one horse, to the professional trainer with hundreds of horses. We are experienced in treating horses in all disciplines and at all levels of competition, along with the family owned pleasure horse.

Southern Equine Veterinary Services is owned and operated by the dedicated and experienced equine veterinarian, Dr. B. DeAnn Hughes, DVM. Dr. Hughes graduated from the University of Illinois’ College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. In 2009, she completed an internship under Dr’s. Scott Bennett and Richard Griffin at Equine Services. Dr. Hughes prides herself in the high-​quality work she provides to her equine patients, providing services that are otherwise not available in our area.
