Shilo Inn Suites Hotel Klamath Falls

Checking in was fast and easy. Received a warm welcome as we walked in by the rep behind the counter. I believe her name was Elizabeth. She was very knowledgeable about the area, where to eat, sites to see, and local events as well as well mannered. She made me feel like I was important and number 1 priority. The Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and servers were polite. However I was not impressed but more disgusted how the general manager and manager were discussing schedules and dislikes of different employees including the wonderful lady that checked us in and Hannah (who checked me out). They were discussing employees personal business and medical problems. I felt that it was a very negative environment and not professional to be discussing such things with open doors with guests present. On top of the discussion they had to finish while helping me. The manager was rude, abrupt, and made it obvious that I was not a priority. Horrible customer service and I was shocked. The young ladies who they mentioned I found to be extraordinary and that is what makes me want to come back to the Shilo. Checking out was a pleasant experience with the young lady named Hannah who i had heard about earlier that morning. She was kind and polite and wished us safe travels. I would recommend this hotel But with the negative feelings that I had the next morning from management discussions in public areas makes me not want to come back. My recommendation is give Elizabeth and Hannah a raise and promote them. Get more professional and polite mangers.

Rooms were nice, resturant was decent. my one complaint is the pool. It was like ice. A lady told the guy this and he felt it and said it was the right temp at 72. Its more like 50. The pool guy (s) one of which spoke no english. or at least pretended not to blew her off. everyone is in the hot tub because its too cold.

— Large hotel, large lobby, large rooms.
— Wifi has strong signal but when a lot of the guests get on, it gets really, really slow to the point of being useless.
— No lobby breakfast, the restaurant offers what you normally find in motels. The food is OK. They do have coffee in the lobby towards the back.
— Loud A/​C in the room.
— Checkin was fine but I only received one key card for two people — they said they were low because of military people?
They could have spent less money on the lobby space and other niceties and more on the wifi server. Working wifi is important to travelers.

The service checking in was fabulous… she was knowledgable about the area and gave great advice for hiking trails, in Klamath Falls as well as Crater Lake. The room was big with comfortable beds and well equipped. The room and bathroom were clean. Ate at the restaurant (because we were given coupons for 2 glasses of free wine and 5 $ off) service was great and the food was good.

I checked in last Thursday for a night and booked with
for a better price, I didn’t expect too much the hotel is alright and so are the people. Just alright. The breakfast was gross the chefs beard hair was in the eggs. He made us a new plate but It was the same cook with the same beard I didn’t want to risk it. My bigger complaint has to do with the general manager Sandy but we’ll get to that in a sec. So I was double charged because they were not paying attention when we said we booked through
. they refunded us the money and we got it the next morning when we left. No problem. The next morning we are in another state already in a new hotel and the money is taken out of my account again. So we call and an employee says she cannot help us and the managers not working on that Friday and won’t be back until the following tuesday. The money has not been returned so we called today (tuesday) and finally got a hold of the illusive Sandy and she gave us the only thing the first employee said which isn’t very much. She keeps telling us that once we check out we are automatically refunded. So why am I being charged a day later while I’m no longer in that state? She had nothing to say. I asked non sarcastically «What do you do when some one pays 130 for a room and you charge them 260?» Silence. «Hello? That was a serious question I need help sandy» short silence and then all she says «that is not the case here» «yes sandy exact same situation just less money. So seriously, what do you do when you encounter a situation like this?» All she says is, «once you check out you are automatically refunded. blah blah blah «literally same thing just ANGRY. AT ME! She kept talking over me so I kept talking louder as I don’t need to hear that again. I’m trying to explain how that doesn’t help and she should try something else and she hangs up on me. So I call back and she yells that she will not be yelled at or cussed at. My husband said the words effing bull shot in another conversation on a different phone before she hung up on HIM. I said no vulgar words. I’m shaking with anger when she hangs up a second time swiftly. I call the third time and proceed to talk to her in a monotone voice as if she’s a child and figure out she just literally does not know what to do and what I got from her is that our money has disappeared but my bank statement shows the truth. Im still missing money, I’m actually negative now. Sandy’s not very helpful and should be demoted as she’s not very trained, nor friendly, nor knowledgable. She needs some serious training because mistakes like this get you fired and your establishment under some heat. Corporate doesn’t know what to do either, they tell me she’s supposed to help and know what to do, but she can’t even tell us the right price we were originally charged. I’m so frustrated I’m sick to my stomach. I almost want to drive the seven hours back to go show her my bank statement. Please, BEWARE, the staff here is not the best and all around? I wonder how many of these people must be new because I definitely see a lack of training.

I ate here a year ago and swore I would never come back. I stayed here last week and was surprised that the food in the restaurant has improved drastically. The wait staff were friendly and we got our food a lot quicker than the last time we stayed here. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel is clean and the employees are friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

This piece of sht hotel runs out of hot water, has paper thing walls and managers that don’t ever come to work. Do yourself a favor and go stay at the shtty motel 8 down the street, it’s probably better than here…

Room looks ok. Check in was pretty quick. Breakfast is very basic. One huge problem was we had was no hot water at 9am in the morning.

Lovely hotel — good rates — nice restaurant and little sports bar — shout out to Carl who runs a busy bar like a champ! Accommodating and polite staff. I’d stay again for sure.

Rooms are clean and staff is friendly. Breakfast is good — buffet style with a good selection. I did not check out the pool or sauna. Plenty of parking space for large vehicles. Nothing to complain about.

I have stayed here twice and have been disappointed both times. The first time was a year ago and we had our dog with us. The pet friendly room had all kinds of animal hair and was horrible for my allergies! I hardly slept! The most recent stay there was no shampoo, conditioner or soap in the room. There weren’t even enough towels for 2 people and there were 4 of us. When I inquired at the front desk they said they were out of shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and towels. Thankfully we had a cleaner room this time since we didn’t have our dog.

Staff and amenities made this Shilo worth the stay! 24 hour pool and sauna was so great. Especially after checking in at 9:30 pm with 3 kids who desperately need to let go of some energy. The room was clean and very nice, only complaint is the king size bed was very hard and uncomfortable. However the continental free breakfast was amazing! This was above and beyond a continental breakfast. Eggs, sausage, french toast etc. That included with the amazing girls that waited on us made for a super nice morning. Would definately stay again!

Nice facility and attentive staff, definitely stay again.
Very nice and clean. Non smoking means not smoked in… very important to me.

We stayed on our way to seattle.
I was not expecting much after reading few reviews but my experience was really good.
Room was clean and spacious and so was the bathroom.
They offer free breakfast, but we dint have an opportunity to have it, so cant say anything abt that.
There werent any shower gels but that was not a huge pblm.
Shower was really good, good pressure and massaging effect.
Our room had really nice view.
Overall good experience.

I have to say that the room I received at the Shilo Inn was phenomenal. I was impressed when I walked in. Big room huge bed lovely cleanliness, a separate sitting room, the table to play cards at a table to do the computer work at I mean it had everything. I would be coming back here regularly if I were traveling in this area. Of course I’d like to have plugs by the bedside yeah that would be helpful. Oh did I mention the refrigerator was quiet. Now that’s a plus I have stayed in so many hotels where I’ve had to unplug the refrigerator to get quiet. A room with two TVs that was a new. The towels were soft the water is great the soaps were marvelous. Let’s face it I like this chain

What a Great stay… I specifically went up to see Crater Lake but because of fires I had to drive straight thru to Klammouth. From the moment I checked in I felt comfortable and the ladies at the front desk were very friendly and knowledgebase. But the VIP was definitely Carl the bartender. He was outstanding and held the whole bar on his own drinks and food were served promptly and with a smile.
The room was spotless and the bed was super comfy. I will return to this spot again.

Looks great on the outside. When we checked into our room, the trash can was full of somebody else’s garbage and the freezer had old food in it. The bathroom had not been properly cleaned, there was urine stains on the floor by the toilet. Don’t even get me started on the unprofessional and incompetent wait staff and chef in the restaurant. It’s overpriced and everything that was served to us was neither fresh or made well. We found a piece of plastic in the fish and it took us over an hour to get our food. The appetizer, salads and entrees were all brought out at the exact same time. They messed up our order and we had to wait for them to figure out that… it’s just a really bad quality of service here at this hotel, the staff is friendly enough but there is CLEARLY A LACK OF TRAINING for the service industry at this location. It’s really sad, I wanted to love the food based off of their menu and the hotel just continues to disappoint. I wish i could give zero stars but Unilocal will not let me be that cruel.

After talking to the front staff about the bathroom issues she contacted maintenance and the both of them went to clean up the room together. As I said before, the staff is friendly and after seeing them assist us I think that they are very accommodating. I just wish that the housekeeping staff would pay more attention to how they should properly clean a room. The front desk clerk should not have to ensure a room is properly cleaned, even though we really appreciate her!!! I didn’t catch your name so If you’re reading this, thank you!

The pool and gym are open 24 hrs. The staff is friendly. The restaurant hours are limited to dinner and the bar closes at 10pm. There is a complimentary continental breakfast in the morning.
The rooms are spacious and clean with mini bars & refrigerators. The beds are comfortable. The location is excellent.
It is a very clean, well maintained hotel within striking distance of Crater Lake.
I’d highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

We arrived on a Sunday night. Our room was one with two queen beds. The rooms were very clean, beds comfortable, and all amenities available. All for $ 78.00/night. We enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi, and steam rooms. The staff was extremely friendly & helpful.
The only negative was the restaurant.
Dinner: The herb chicken was very much over-​cooked, and service minimal.
Breakfast: (included) very dry scrambled eggs, obrien potatos and sausage pattis. Service even more scarce.
Would we return? Absolutely, but we’d eat at Applebee’s next door or McDonalds for breakfast… yeah I’d pay rather than have breakfast at the hotel.
