Josh Guest PC

At first I was pretty pleased with Josh and had given a 5 star rating back in December 2014. That was before I had paid him the last of what was owed and he had withdrawn from the case. I really dislike leaving negative feedback but I feel as though it might help in one way or another. Still continuing to have issues with the ex so am going to have to go back to court for a modification. Was brushed off when I complained of the ex breaking the no contact order. Was told I could file contemp if I wanted to but it wouldn’t do any good. To top that off I was told the no contact order had been worded to go both ways. I had no idea of this and feel as though I was misinformed and really shouldn’t have been put that way in the court paperwork. I had called Josh Guest’s office for over three weeks, never once recieved a call back. Finally called and just requested a copy of my case to take to a different lawyer or just represent myself. Almost another week and no call so I just went up to the office. I was informed I could not have a copy of my entire case file. Then afterwards was then told it would cost 10 cents a page. This all had really confused me as when the case had originally settled he handed me the entire original case file and after I had gotten to my car he came back out stating he needed the file back and would instead make me a copy. Did not mention any fee or cost for the copy then. I ended up only getting a few pages of some evidence I needed. When I hired Josh as my lawyer he had been recommended by someone on facebook and had waived the initial consultation fee. As a single working Mother I was ecstatic to receive any discounts and cancelled my two other scheduled consultations with different lawyers. I have never had to deal with the courts/​lawyers before. I later found out that he was very new as a lawyer and was trying to build up good ratings on social media websites. Look through the other ratings/​comments very carefully on here. A few of the 5 star ones seem to be from himself or relitives. Would not recommend Josh Guest especially if you feel you have a complicated case or may need to reopen your case again. I feel I was treated rather poorly even when I was trying to hire him on my case again. Maybe he just couldn’t handle my case but I’ll never know since he wouldn’t return calls. –shrugs–

Josh is great to work with. He shows respect and empathy during difficult circumstances. He is bright, and honest and really worked hard to get a good outcome for us. He puts his clients first.
