Went in to look for s pair of dress loafers. Got no attention from staff-​seemed preoccupied with corporate stuff-​reps sales etc. Went next door to Cole Haan but not what I wanted. Returned to J.&M no greeting again I had to bring one of 2 models up to the counter. I wanted to know the difference between 2 similar models with $ 90 price diff. I asked associate but was unable to explain and needed to ask manager as she’d only been there 2 weeks. Assured he would be winding down his phone call soon and could answer my question. Walked right by me without even eye contact and kept talking. After 15mins gave up and left. Felt bad for the new clerk/​associate but about the worst customer service I’ve run into. Off to Zappos…

This Johnston & Murphy is located in with Kittery’s collection of outlet malls. There’s a ton of stuff on sale, clearance racks, etc. The staff seem helpful, but I didn’t find what I was looking for. And they have really nice cushy chairs to sit in when you’re trying on shoes.
