Since 1993, the F.D. Kretchman Rod Co. has crafted the finest Split Bamboo Fly Rods made in the U.S.A. From his home in Kittery Point, Maine, founder and owner Fred Kretchman personally selects each bamboo culm to ensure the highest quality cane and individually crafts each rod based on his customers’ specifications. Additionally, Fred offers professional rod restoration & repair services and rod making workshops. Classes run for one week (Monday-Friday) throughout the year and students leave with a completed rod, ready to fish.
