Boggy Creek Airboat Rides

A must do. If visiting Florida, live in Florida, ever heard of Florida this is a must do hands down.
Took a 30 minute boat ride with Branden who packed thrill with information. Front desk staff was also friendly and informative and took care of us quickly with a smile.
After the tour, a Gatorland employee gave a small presentation with a 4 year old gator which you can hold for $ 5 which goes towards conservation.
Highly recommend. This is a great family, couple, single activity. Go, just go!

Fun fun fun! We took the 45 minute swamp ride. We saw a lot of wild life. Our boat captain was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Yes we did see a gator. The highlight was a bald eagle with a fish in his talons.
The swap your boat is smaller with only 6 seats. We met a couple from Cambridge UK.

Being from out of town this was such a great experience! Not so sure if the night ride was the best choice. But we did see many gators up close which was awesome. Our guide was very friendly and polite. He did not hesitate to ask if we had questions or to answer when we did ask. Thank you!

Enjoyed our boat ride & the scenery! It’s a nice 20−30minute drive outside Orlando. We did the Go Orlando Card which was only a 30-​minute ride. Would recommend the hour long or evening ride for more «wow factor.» Employees were polite & knowledgeable.

My first air boat ride and boggy creek made It very entertaining. Very friendly staff and the air boat captain gave us a tour of gators and stopped several times to show us the alligators.

Captain Chris is The Best. Fun ride and we saw lots of gators big and small! I’d keep your hands INSIDE the boat if I were you… Very nice folks and very friendly and professional.

Capt. David was a class act, he was extremely knowledgeable and kept my family entertained for our night tour. I would recommend Boggy Creek for anyone in search of an amazing Gator experience. When they say you will see gators well let me say we saw GATORS over 12 within an hour. 3 were over 12′ that’s no joke and never once did Capt David put my family in any danger I couldn’t have been happier with my experience!

It was an awesome experience. Andy was our guide and he was fantastic. We went for the night tour and I would highly recommend it. The alligators were active and we saw plenty of birds while we were out on the water. I’ve never been on an airboat tour and we had a blast! Can’t say whether day or night tour is best bc we’ve only tried the night tour. I’d definitely do it again. It’s about 45 minutes outside of Orlando and I think it’s worth the drive. This was one of the highlights of our trip. If you like fun and adventure– then you’ll enjoy the night tour.

No gators today but Capt. Andy made sure to find us some (3) Bald Eagles. And other water fowl. He took the time to share his knowledge with all on the boat. I will make the trip to visit again well worth the$. It would be nice if the «gator show» had more flare then here is a gator buy some pics. Maybe pass the gator around while you are talking about the facts while taking a pics and passing it along. Keep the audience engaged!

Out of the many Airboat rides in the area, I chose this one because of 2 for 1 and 4 for 2 Groupon deal and it was closest to me. It’s on the south end of East lake Toho. We went in the morning, and didn’t get to see much either, the gators were there but were nesting. We saw a few but because the moms were nesting they were underwater and you could only see the eyes. The tour guide said they are seen best at night (they do offer night rides) or in the winter. We saw many birds and trees. There was a gift shop when you walk where you check in, and they ask for a photo-​op that you can decide later whether you want to pay for it or not, and after the boat ride they let you hold a baby Gator and take a picture of that and you can pay if you like. It helped add to the experience but we did not buy. And yes they to make a tourist attraction out of everything in the area just like the other reviewer said. I worked the dino discovery event and it was also the same concept (photos,. Gift shop.) everything is that way. I recommend if you’ve never done an Airboat ride, but if you want to see huge gators go to an alligator farm or Gatorland. But at least do the airboat once in your life.

Nothing more than an overpriced boat ride. Not worth the money or drive time from Orlando in my opinion. Ten minutes into the trip I was over it and ready to turn the boat around.
It seems that everyone in Florida is looking to create a tourist attraction and I’d say Boggy Creek airboat rides falls into this category. I mean it’s cool to go on an airboat ride if you’ve never experienced it but other than that it’s nothing special. If you want to see gators go to a zoo or to Gatorland.
Honestly, the 3 stars is more about the overall quality of the EXPERIENCE and less about the quality of the activity itself and the staff at Boggy Creek. The staff were all pleasant and professional and the service provided was what Boggy Creek promised. But the overall experience was lacking something. I left there feeling like I’d been swindled out of nearly $ 60. We saw one gator briefly and some birds but that was about it. Overall, it simply wasn’t worth the money.
Our guide was really nice and the boat ride was cool but I wouldn’t do it again or recommend it to anyone.

5 stars for sure. We tried to go early like first boat out but ended up being more like 11:30. The earlier you go the more wildlife you will see. The boat is really neat. They give you headphones because it is loud. Great for all ages. We got to see a momma gator guarding her nest. Our tour guide wade was very informative. He was fun. When ride was finished you get to hold a baby gator. The staff is very friendly and the gift shop has some cool stuff. I bought some yogi frogs and my daughter got a gator tooth. We went on the 30 minute ride. I got my tickets a month in advance so spent half the price at counter. I would suggest getting your tickets early or through a company special or Internet price.

I have to give this experience 5 stars. Truly. We did not get to see any gators because we went rather late in the day after they slip back under water. But that has no bearing on the wonderful nature of the folks here.
Our guide in the airboat was fantastic, trying super hard to find us a gator. He was very nice, and made himself audible even with our headphones on. And the man that did the gator show and tell after the ride was just fabulous. I wish I had gotten his name, but he just amazing. He told us all sorts of things about Fluffy and the work they do there. He was very entertaining with Fluffy, and then we got to hold Fluffy! We bought all the photos they took in order to support them, and we also purchased some fun things in their gift shop.
Aside from seeing the wild gators, this couldn’t have gotten better. We went with my parents who have done this tour about 3 or 4 times now with various visitors. They said the boat guide and show man were the best they’d seen so far.
Super fun activity if you’re in the area for sure.

Went on a 30min tour with my wife and family. I had been on this tour literally 10 years ago, and it was still fun. The bad thing is that our guide spent 5 – 10 min of our tour stopped to look at a deer and proceeded to tell us it was not a farm-​raised deer, it is brown and likes to eat near the water. We were there to see birds and alligators, but we never stopped to see any of the amazing birds. The price had more than doubled but they do let you hold an alligator at the end, which is pretty neat.

alright, so my boyfriend & i came here because it wasn’t like a super long drive into the middle of no where. and i got some coupons from the hotel. which made it more of a reason to go. it was quite a drive into this place but at least it wasn’t a secluded area.
we got here it was sunny although we couldn’t use our coupon because we decided to do the full on swamp excursion. the staff said it was better and of course its like $ 56+ bucks pp [without tax]. no one else was there to take the tour so it was just us with the airboat staff.
let me tell you something some good useful facts!
if you’re a girl tie your hair.
if you you wear glasses/​contacts… i suggest contacts with sunglasses.
clothes…close toe shoes, something you don’t mind getting dirty,
if you dislike bugs… wear something that would cover yourself from head to toe.
it started to rain/​sprinkle. those raindrops hurt like no other. felt like needles coming down on my skin. they hurt my face, hurt my hands/​arms, my neck, and etc. the speed of the airboat/​swamp excursion goes a lot faster and when the raindrop lands beware!
i wear contacts and just happened to lose my sunglasses the day before therefore i couldn’t open my eyes to see anything due to the rain and stuff that was flying around in the swamp [i.e. bugs, grasshoppers, spiders, etc]
what i saw: some egg things from a specific type of bird, eagle’s nest, alligators, birds, a grasshopper that flew on me, and some fishes.
they take a picture of you at the beginning and you can buy it as a souvenir if you like but its not mandatory. you gotta tip the tour guide. my boyfriend and i had a miscommunication so we over tipped. but the tour guide guy was nice. i would suggest paying extra to do the swamp excursion because the airboat travels at a faster speed and if you’re a out of towner then why not! if you’re gonna go then do the real thing since you’re on vacation, its a flordia thing, and go all out!
they had a huge alligator skin on the wall which was kind of scary and cool at the same time. they sell snacks and drinks. they have a bathroom for customers to use.
i highly recommending you try it out!

Had a blast! Great opportunity to see florida wildlife and experience an airboat ride for the first time! Cooler months tend to be better because the gators come out to sunbathe. At the end of the tour you get to hold a gator! Did the 30 minute ride and felt that it was SO worth it. It was about a 40 – 45 minute drive from disneyworld, not bad in my opinion! Friendly staff and neat trinkets in the store :)

Kinda pricey (especially if you do anything more than the 30 minute ride) but overall fun and worth doing at least once. If you are really into seeing gators, you are better off going to their Eastport location. If you would rather see more birds and snakes along with the gators then the Southport location is for you. Also, the gators tend to head out to feed at nightfall so earlier tours are more likely to see them.

The drive to the location was a long one from Orlando, took over an hour so if you’re staying in the touristy area around I Drive then be prepared for this.
We found the location pretty easily. We paid our $ 30 (per person) and waited for or tour to start. They are either very laid back here or were just waiting for more people before they sent the boat out but our tour didn’t start for quite some time as we waited almost 45 minutes after our quoted departure time.
The tour started and the guide explained our rout before leaving. During the tour he was very informative but unfortunately we didn’t see any ‘Gator’s in the whole 45 minutes! Not the tour’s fault though, I guess.
Getting back to the dock we did get photo ops with a baby ‘Gator they had on land though which was a good as I think they felt a bit bad that we hadn’t seen anything.
Disappointing trip as I don’t feel what we paid was worth what we got — a ride on a boat around a swamp.

First off, if you don’t live in Kissimmee, or even if you’re visiting Disney– be prepared for a bit of a drive. It took us almost an hour and a half to get there, and not necessarily worth the drive.
While the boat ride itself was fun, and the tour guide was nice, we didn’t see any gators! That is absolutely not the company’s fault, but for $ 30 per person, a 20 min ride around the lake to see a bunch of birds and a few snakes was hardly worth it.
We did have a blast posing for the scary crocodile-​eating photo. That was probably the highlight of the trip. We might try again when it’s warmer. Something tells me going on a boat ride during a cold spell probably isn’t the best for animal-​spotting.
