Big fan of the Bug Store on Shaw, so yesterday after having lunch in Kirkwood I checked this location out and was equally impressed. If you have a friend or family member who is big in to gardening, this is the place to shop for their next gift. If you yourself are a big gardener, this place will provide you with items to bedazzle your yard. The variety of birdhouses, decorative yard figures, patio furniture, wall hangings and yard flags were all unique. I was impressed with the variety of Cardinal stuff they had to show your support for our Boys of Summer. The statuesque lady working was charming and helpful. She was very skilled at servicing the multiple shoppers all at once and knew her inventory well. When a customer described an item, she knew exactly where it was and quickly hustled to retrieve it. I was also very fond of her assistant, Buddy. A very distinguished mix breed, who served as greeter and I believe security. I will be loyal to the Bug Store on Shaw, but I will now make it a point visit this location whenever I am in Kirkwood.

Yes, this store has a wonderful selection of unique gifts and I am always a huge supporter of shopping local. Unfortunately, I was really frustrated shopping in this store today. It was super crowded(yay for shopping local), but the store was so cramped and maze like, it was almost impossible to look at anything. I may be back, but only during the week and not on a busy Saturday.

I came her over lunch hour one day to buy a birthday gift. I had a few ideas, but the staff here really helped me out and and contributed some really creative gift ideas. I ended up getting the perfect gift here, and other friends are asking where I found it. The prices are very reasonable so you can find some really cool stuff on a budget. They have everything from home furnishings and garden accessories, to clothes and soap. I am adding this place to my list of first stops when I’m looking for something unique.
