West Winery at Jackson Stables

This was one of the better winery’s that I have visited. We had my son’s college graduation here. We needed to reserve tables enough for 30 people. She was very helpful in accommodating our group. They had live music and the person singing do not mind people coming up and singing with him. They were so generous, they even gave several of our group member’s rides on the horse. This venue is gorgeous inside and outside. We had food being delivered by a local restaurant and staff was helpful in setting up a table needed for this. A lot of our family plans on coming back just to visit this winery! One down side, only one bathroom for all. They did have a johnny on the spot outside for others to use. Very beautiful place, I recommend you visit this place if in Kirksville!

A beautiful venue! Hidden and off the beaten path it is well worth the drive. Their wines rival all of the Augusta wineries!

Beautiful building and friendly staff. I like stopping by for local wine with friends. They also have a small selection of beer if you don’t like wine. They’re typically open Friday and Saturday afternoon/​evening, unless they’re hosting a private event. Their website is updated often so it’s easy to plan a trip.
It’s hard to find places like this in the area; I would definitely recommend visiting Jackson Stables at least once.

Great quiet, rustic space, serving West Winery wines (from Macon, MO, 30 miles south) and a few major label and seasonal beers. Tasting was pretty informative and definitely low pressure.
Great venue for a small party (20 – 30 people) or a fun activity for small groups or couples. There are very few spaces to drink in Kirksville that are clean, classy, and quiet; West Winery at Jackson Stables is all three. It’s a great place to relax, carry on a conversation, and enjoy some Missouri wines!
