Washington Urology Associates – Kirkland

These 5 stars are only for Dr. Nazemi. She has treated me and my husband for years and has been wonderful. So happy that she is leaving this office for Swedish Urology First Hill. This office is terrible. The front desk staff never gets the paperwork correct and can you clean a bathroom every once in awhile!!!

I had the gross misfortune of Scott Van Appledorn being my urologist during my last pregnancy. I suffered from kidney stones and he provided heartless and incompetent care. I felt abandoned and discriminated against. He didn’t even bother to form a treatment plan to prevent stones from reoccurring. He ruined the relationship I had with other providers, who relied on him to do his job. I suffered needlessly for a long time due to improper treatment, and it exacerbated my other conditions. My family suffered so much because of his failures. If you are pregnant, I strongly advise seeing someone else. I wouldn’t wish what happened to me on anyone. I still suffer because of what happened.
The clinics in Kirkland and Bellevue are run in such an amateur fashion that I can’t fathom recommending either. My other healthcare providers called me with my test and imaging results days earlier than the urologist’s assistant. The assistants at Washington Urology were also unable to competently answer my questions. One even had the gall to tell me how much better I was doing after turning in a kidney stone, which was absurd since I was still very symptomatic and distressed. I was told by one assistant that the doctors don’t give phone calls to patients, which is unfathomable to me. (My pets’ veterinarians call just to check in a few days after any appointments. I seriously felt my pets were getting better healthcare during my last pregnancy).
I also don’t understand the rudeness I received from multiple people in this company. I can’t understand why urine labs go unprocessed, or why bathrooms are not cleaned between patient use (bathrooms should not have fecal matter on the toilet paper rendering them unusable, nor other urine samples lying in wait. People go, in part, to get tested for UTIs, not to be at risk of contracting them).
I wish that you have a different experience, but I strongly recommend avoiding this company. I live with the effects of this place still.

After my old urologist retired, I scheduled an appointment with van Appledorn for a PSA test. When I got to the office, I was told the doctor was in surgery. I never got a phone call notifying me. The doctor might be great, but the office staff are HORRIBLE! I will never go there again.

I was happy with my experience at this clinic. I saw Dr. Nazemi, and she’s a great doctor. She is very easy to talk to and makes you laugh. I felt like she listened to me, and felt like I could trust her opinion.

Health issues are always a pain and if you are seeking a urologist, probably a lot of pain. Going to a specialist can be scary and we have all heard horror stories of doctors that seem not to care or take patients claims seriously.
Dr. Nazemi at Eastside Urology Associates is amazing! I was first referred for a kidney stone seven years ago. She has performed several surgeries for me over the years and has always treated me with compassion and sensitivity.
I was diagnosed with a kidney disease recently and she when I attended my appointment to discuss she was ready with a wealth of information and offered her full support and encouraged me to call anytime for anything.
If you’re looking for quality care from a smart and caring person, she’s your doctor!
