Tree Country

The overall tree cutting experience went well enough… I guess. This is the first time i have hired such a company, so I wouldn’t know. However their timeliness is awful. They were over two hours late for the initial job, which meant our plans for later in the evening fell through. It also meant it was dark by the time they got done with the trees, so we didn’t get the rounds placed in a convenient location like the previosu reviewer describes, but instead sitting in our grass and bushes. Then when it came time to pay, they wanted a cheque because nobody could seem to work the ipad for a credit card payment. When we tried to get ahold of someone over the phone to make payment, rather than taking payment over the phone or saying they will send a bill, they said someone would come over the next morning at 10AM. We were set to go out shortly after but we said OK. By 10.30, no one had shown up. We called and was told they were going to be here any minute, yet it still took another 10 minutes before someone finally showed up. They were 40 minutes late, just for a credit card payment. And yet again, our plans fell through because of their lack of timeliness. Any other company would just send a bill or take payment over the phone. I’m sorry, but this is just not good customer service and I honestly can’t recommend them.

We have just over an acre of trees in our backyard and a couple of trees in the front of our home. My husband and I had been talking about wanting to remove the trees in the front of the home and it just so happened that we found a flyer (dropped off by Chelsea) on our doorstep. Karma made the decision for us. :)
My husband called and it was Tim who came out from Tree Country. He was personable and enthusiastic about the work (which is a factor in our decision as we want the person who WANTS to do the job.) He was very patient through all our questions and even went around the house to take a look at some of the trees. He was able to name them right off the bat, which was another plus in our book. His price for the job was exactly what we wanted and so we signed on to have the work done on a Tuesday morning.
8am sharp on Tuesday, the crew shows up (Tim as well) and got straight to work. In 2 and a half hours they had taken down all three of our 110’ish foot trees. The last of the trees was taken down so smoothly, it landed right between the two fences across the street. The job was clean, rounds were left exactly where we asked, and everyone was incredibly nice and professional. They did such a good job that our neighbors were slowing down in their cars to check it out and some even came out of their homes to talk to the crew.
One of my neighbors asked me if she could have some rounds. I told her she could have them but I didn’t have a wheelbarrow. She came over with hers and the guys actually put the rounds in for her and even wheeled it to her backyard.
Definitely recommended and I’m even putting up a couple of pictures I snuck while they worked. Just wish I could have gotten all their names to put here to thank them all personally. Thanks guys!

I clearly have a no soliciting sign on my house. It’s directly underneath the DOORBELL. I have had them knock a few times now… sometimes they leave flyers… other times they don’t. They must be desperate if they are willing to blatantly go against a home owners wishes to solicate business. I, personally, try to steer clear of desperate people.
UPDATE: I’m really not sure how they could have missed the sign NUMEROUS times…
Ironically: We don’t have ANY trees on our property. Unless you count the rhododendrons…

Beware of this bully. Run don’t walk from this tree service company. When trying to cancel service in advance, the result was I was lied to multiple times, brow beaten and cussed out and told I couldn’t cancel with them.
I had contracted with them and set a time for them to remove 2 trees. I called twice the day before to cancel. Tim didn’t answer or return either of my two calls, but had his guys show up the next day as if I had not called or canceled. He then proceeded to swear at and threaten me with a cancellation fee because he didn’t receive a letter 3 days in advance! It would not have been possible to mail a cancellation to them from the time he gave me a proposal and have it arrive before scheduled service. What outrageous strong arm tactics.
