I’m not sure who Betty S, SM and Marilyn L saw at Partington Plastic Surgery, but I can tell you without a doubt, Dr. Partington and his staff are amazing. I have had two procedures with Dr. Partington and both have come out perfect. I have seen him a number of times when I had to go back to the office for a visit. I would not trust another surgeon to work on me other than Dr. Partington. He is an extraordinary surgeon, an extraordinary human being who really cares about patients.

I had a minor procedure here and Dr. Partington gave me one of the best prices in the Seattle area for it. He was attentive, flexible, and gave suggestions but not in an arrogant way — medical professionals have a tendency to railroad their patients and he doesn’t do that at all. He’s clearly very intelligent and I’m happy with the results. And sorry for not being able to make my follow up guys! Had to leave town yesterday.

Staff is professional and pleasure to work with. I’ve gone in for multiple visits and am grateful for the care and quality solutions.

Do not go near Partington Plastic Surgery until you have read the reviews. You will never see him after you write the check. He promises whatever he thinks you want to hear and DOESN’T DELIVER and if something goes wrong the office staff will not let you see/​talk/​email him. He works all but TWO days per MONTH as executive director of Sono Bello Bellevue doing lipo. You will never see him again but his «associate» will see you-​they change frequently, to sell you outrageously expensive product. Don’t bother getting to know his office staff: they will be different on your next visit. KEEP LOOKING.

I had a visit from hell with his sidekick, a Shawna Akin, who performs some procedures that Dr. Partington does not.
Words almost fail me to describe how condescending, belittling, intimidating, and at times downright hostile she was. But I’ll try here, as a public service — and to validate my own feelings about this catastrophic experience of early February.
This Shawna was bent on demonstrating her superiority to me every step of the way. She was disgustingly narcissistic as she bragged about her ballet «career» and, endlessly, about a plethora of «achievements» in medical esthetics and cosmetic chemistry. She was the star here, make no mistake.
(Side note: her resume shows she’s a hired hand in the so-​called cosmeceutical industry.)
Her shockingly rough, dry-​crackling voice in the lobby was my first exposure to this individual, who ushered me into her office without even looking at me. This was followed by my subjection to an hour of mental torture, during which I found myself sinking further and further into my seat until I lost balance and almost fell off.
Such was the edge-​of-​your-​seat intensity with which she fired off whatever she was saying.
Right off the bat, she turned hostile to me because the loudness of her voice was so excessive it hurt my eardrums. I’m in my sixties, and informed her nicely that I could hear very well.
Her hands flailed in the air in a gesture of «I don’t know why you’re here, then.» She even uttered «ah, ah, well, you know what?» But, she reduced the noise level and offered me a very phony «Forgive me,» which seemed very sarcastic, indeed.
Throughout the visit, she plowed ahead like a freight train, nary taking even a breath, seemingly to hoard the stage at all costs. When by miracle she’d accept a question, she made it a point of prefacing her answer with, «as I told you before,» and other rude comments before repeating any information.
I should’ve left as soon as my gut started screaming THIS IS ALL WRONG! That this person was abusive, and that I should run for my life — but I didn’t, held there by my protocol of good manners. What a sucker!
I’m not a psychiatrist, but the hellish game-​playing and need to power-​over spell sociopathy to me. This was a very scary experience and it colored my entire day until bedtime.

These guys are dangerous and don’t follow standard medical protocols and have major documentation errors that unequivocally contributed to me waking up in the middle of my breast reduction surgery.
I woke up to feeling Dr. Partington closing lefty and opening up righty. I started to thrash and was pinned to the table. The last thing I remember before climbing into my car is starting to cry so they would know I was in pain while they were working on me.
They were warned multiple times of my high tolerance to sedation and could have killed me by continuing with the surgery. They failed to document any of this or warn me or my husband that I received higher dose of sedatives than originally planned, before sending us home and closing for the holidays.
In trying to get them to remedy the situation I was told by Mandy the office manager that I was mentally and physically unstable and that’s why I had the reaction I did. They also appear to be committed to defrauding their clients as well.
My surgery was medically necessary, so it was covered through my insurance. Despite having ample documentation from Premera that my portion should have been no more that $ 500 I was still forced to pay $ 3820 no later than one month prior to hold my surgery date. They charge fees directly to patients that are covered by insurance and conveniently forget to tell you they aren’t allowed to do that under most insurance plans. I was assured at every pre-​op appointment that any over payments would be refunded. It’s nearly a year later and I still haven’t been refunded all of my money. Even after Premera got involved, and explained they are committing fraud, they still won’t give me my money back and Premera is seeking to kick them «out-​of-​network».
Dishonest, high pressure sales, negligent and potentially lethal lapses in care and documentation. Outraged doesn’t begin to cover what you will likely experience.

This is the letter I sent Dr. Patington with no response.
Dr. Partington,
I have spent the last 24 hours trying to decide how I am going to handle this situation. Yesterday when I came in to your office I was under the impression that you were going to follow through with an agreement we made back in September. Unfortunately I had the worst experience with you and Mandi. When I first met you in September you seemed like a kind, caring doctor. You were warm and willing to help rectify the mistakes of your staff. In fact you even offered a hug on your way out of the room. As a reminder, just in case you truly forgot and did not mean to have such poor manners yesterday, my daughter and I came to your office off of a referral from a friend. At the beginning of the summer, sometime around June or July, Shannon injected my daughters’ forehead and my upper lip. Unfortunately (this word seems to be coming up with your office a lot), my daughter’s eyebrow started to droop and as for my lip the filler didn’t take. When you found out about the poor service my daughter and I had received when we went back into your office to ask Shannon to fix the issues you immediately jumped in to help. Again, you were very kind and willing to rectify the situation. Due to a busy a summer, my vacation and yours, we were unable to connect sooner than September to fix my lip. When I returned in September to re-​discuss the situation you and I both went into Mandi’s office once we came to the agreement, and decided we would trade your time for my lost time and I would pay for the product of $ 300. You gave me three months to follow up on this offer. At this time I was very grateful and again thought highly of you. I called for an appointment at the beginning of December (with in my three month window) and scheduled for yesterday. This is where things went very wrong and have changed my view of you and your office. As a responsible consumer I clarified our agreement before any services began. First, I would like to point out that it was VERY disrespectful for you to leave the room and never return. I asked you about the agreement we made and you brushed it off on your staff instead of discussing any concerns or issues or product changes with me directly, I felt completely disrespected from you and Mandi. You sent your office personnel in to tell me that the service already agreed upon were now going to be $ 400 more than our agreement, but that you would be gracious enough to take $ 200 off, leaving me responsible for $ 500, a whole $ 200 more than our agreement made in front of another employee. I was shocked. This felt like a scam. I told the office personnel you sent in to get Mandi because she was there when the agreement was made. She conveniently didn’t «remember» the exact dollar amount. As the consumer don’t you think I remember, I was grateful for your understanding, I was pleased with the amount agreed upon. Yesterday you and Mandi treated me with such disrespect that it brought me to tears. Basically saying well sorry we can’t help you now, even though we messed it up to begin with. What kind of customer service is that? I am not a threating woman; I do not generally go out of my way to write reviews. I am so offended by this experience that I will be writing a review, I felt betrayed and fooled by your initial kindness.

They have a website where you can schedule an appointment. Unfortunately, it does not appear to be monitored, at least during the last half of December. A follow up e-​mail was required, but took awhile to be answered. Business appears to be so good that they don’t need to reply to customers in a timely manner or at all.

Where do I begin? I have had weight issues my entire life. I had a lap-​band in 9/​07, I was in a major car accident 4 months later, I had back surgery because of this accident, and I was diagnosed with Hasimoto’s disease. This had a negative impact on my overall health and mental wellbeing. I wasn’t in a good place. I knew that I was going to struggle the rest of my life with my weight. I decided to have liposuction on several areas (my outer thighs, hips, stomach, waist) to use as a tool, to help concur a healthier lifestyle.
Dr. Partington was an excellent jump start to my overall health. I have never been so excited to go see a Doctor. I knew this was going to be a positive and life changing experience. Dr. Partington and his staff made me feel very comfortable, they had every base covered and I appreciated the honesty and professionalism they provided. Rachel is one of the sweetest, most helpful, and best nurse assistance you will ever meet.
Dr. Partington is a gifted plastic surgeon. He has wonderful bedside manners and treats you like an individual and not just a number. He is very compassionate, concerned about you as a person, your journey and your final result. He took a lot of time to understand your needs. I recommend Dr. P to everyone I know. Having a connection with your surgeon is very important. It was so much better than I anticipated and a fabulous experience for me.
Within 2 days of the surgery I stepped in front of the mirror and saw immediate changes and I loved it! I have a waist again and I don’t have as much back paing. I’ve managed to drop almost 35 pounds since the surgery and besides the pounds I was able to drop 2 pants sizes! I am more motivated to working out and eating right.
Remember to be prepared, set your expectations and be well informed. Dr. Partington is providing you a new outlook on life, now all you have to do is take care of it. You are the one that is responsible to take care of the end result. You will not regret choosing Dr. Partington. I will be back for some more lipo in other places.

My wife had a face lift and lipo with Dr.P. She loves the results and thinks he has a great bedside manner. Very funny and willing to keep it light. Also very competent and careful, and anxious to make even the smallest detail perfect.
