Firestone Complete Auto Care

If you are in need of car work on the Eastside this Firestone is where you need to go. We have been to a couple different Firestone locations and feel this location is the best so far. We have however had to take our truck in many times for the same issue, but they have always taken care of it right away and it has all been warranty work and they are always very apologetic. Probably just as annoying for them as it is for us. Hopefully this last time permanently fixed the issue, this location was not the location where the original work was done that needed to be fixed. We like Jack a lot, and Kirk, they are very kind and know what they are doing. We don’t feel like they rip us off nor try to feed us a bunch of bull****. We are somewhat educated and can do most things on our own with our vehicles but for the things we can’t we do trust this location. If only we had those huge hydraulic lifts at home we’d probably never need to bring our vehicles in anywhere. Haha.

I had never been to a Firestone before. I got a coupon for an oil change and so I made an appointment. I typically do it myself but I had to have this one done.
I got there at 1:25 for a 1:30 appointment. The lady working at the front desk was great. She assured me the oil change would be done in an hour.
I did not leave until 3:15. Almost 2 hours later. For an oil change! Pretty terrible. Jiffy lube down the street, despite being ~$ 5 more expensive, typically gets you in and out in 20 minutes.
They gave me no indication if there was a delay. The only positive was that I got a really cheap oil change.
I will give them another shot and update this review if I have a better experience, but it is really poor service to hold the customer hostage for 2 hours as they wait for there car. Especially when I create an appointment, I expect speedy service.

I took my car in for an oil change and had them inspect it because I thought it might be leaking oil. They inspected it. That day my car started to overheat. Found the radiator cap missing and anti-​freeze everywhere. My car overheated multiple times over the next few months. I took it back to them, and they fixed it for free. They really made an effort to make it right, so I give them 4 stars. I probably won’t take my car back there, but I appreciate the effort to make it right.

Just randomly showed up on my lunch break for an oil change. They had no openings. I explained I had no time before my road trip and if they could recommend anyone esle. They ended up squeezing my car in and doing a full tire rotation, new wipers, oil change, and even hooked me up with coupons. Great customer service. So helpful.

Despite them being busy, I just needed to find out if I had a flat tire or just needed air. Was in and out in about 10 minutes with very friendly service despite me not having an appointment or anything. Great place and I’ll definitely be back.

I want to start off by saying that I’m very impressed by this location’s manager. We had an «iffy» experience getting our car fixed to pass emissions, and he went out of his way to make it right. In an age where customer service means everything, the Kirkland Firestone has a great man working for them. We initially walked away not wanting to go back, but we’ve been completely turned around. Thank you, Firestone, for restoring my faith in customer service!

Never going back. Simple Oil change took 2 hours and they forgot to put windshield viper liquid as part of the service. The front desk told me that it’s top upped for me! Finally they left the hood open noticed while driving.

As far as Firestones go, this one is the best. We had a punctured tire and had to get it fixed asap, so my wife and one year old had to hang out there for two hours. Didn’t mind waiting as they were super busy and we didn’t have an appointment. Bearded guy behind the counter kept his cool and was super nice even while dealing with a bunch of high maintenance customers. In the end the tire was under roadside warranty, they couldn’t repair and had to replace, but because we weren’t jerks and we were patient the guy didn’t charge us anything (including labor). They’ve got my return business.

These guys are wonderful. They are good with women… They are respectful and don’t act in a condescending manner, which I appreciate. They took good care of my car for a very reasonable price. I will definitely go there again!

Came in after getting a flat tire and found out I needed all new tires. They quoted me the best price for higher quality tires than all the other places I checked, and provided fast service. I am officially a fan.

I have taken two different cars here for lightbulb changes, my first one was a Mazda6 and at Lee Johnson they quoted me at $ 112.00 for just replacing the lightbulb, which was completely outrageous. I took it to Firestone, they took 15 minutes and charged me $ 22.00 total.
My headlight is out on my new Jetta, I called Volkswagen who quoted me at $ 55+ (depending on labor time) and Firestone quoted me at $ 25.00 + tax. They are consistently coming in lower than their competitors for the same job.
I recommended Firestone to my mom who had some routine maintenance on her Lexus, and Firestone did a great job while charging a great price.
Great brand name, great prices, and great service. I completely recommend!

I have to give a big, public THANK YOU to managers Jack Kay and Kevin Byers for their willingness to go the extra mile for me this week. I came to the Kirkland Firestone after a very bad experience elsewhere. Jack and Kevin basically cleaned up someone else’s mess, transforming my experience into a very positive one. I was so grateful I brought them donuts! Please give this Firestone location a try, even if you have had less than perfect experiences elsewhere. These guys really will treat you right. I would definitely recommend them for all your car’s needs.

I went there with my volvo s80 that has a coolant circulation problem, Kevin the service manager there was so good and helped me a lot when I had a misunderstanding problem with a FD member, offered me a discount for the convenience, worked on my car so fast, they couldn’t figure out the problem but they charged me nothing for it. However they worked on it for hours. Overall experience, they rock… The service level is amazing. They deserve 5 stars plus and they won’t rip you off.

Big props to Kevin and Dave today. I picked up my car for a synthetic oil change and was 100% satisfied with their service and attention. I had been coming here for three years to get my two previous vehicles serviced and today I came in with an appointment to get my oil change on a new vehicle.
They were upfront, courteous and delivered exactly what they had stated during the consultation.
I’ve been to several Firestones in different states and this one by far has the best customer service.

I took my car for an oil change service was good and the place is very clean and fast, I felt very good people working on my Car very professional I will go there again for mt next service.

I have zero tolerance for false advertising and liars. If you need tires, go to the Discount Tire store that is a few blocks away. Much better prices and much better service. Firestone tire has a sign up that says «Nobody sells tires for less. .. GUARANTEED!». That sign is a brazen lie. I went in to Firestone with a quote for 4 new tires that I had just gotten from Discount Tire and they looked at it and didn’t even try to come close. The guy just said, ‘sorry I can’t match that’ and didn’t even try…

These guys always save my butt. I started going to them about a year ago when i needed new breaks. They got me set up on a promotion and with a firestone credit card. They did a beautiful job on my breaks and ive been going o them for tires and oil changes ever since!

Being a woman, I am always a little suspicious of auto shops. My experience today was as good as it gets. I brought my car in, unannounced and Chris was welcoming, even though I could tell that it was a really busy day. My battery light and brake lights were flickering and I needed an oil change. I left my car there and Chris called me to say that they found a nail in one of my tires. He had it fixed and he ran a diagnosis and changed the oil and my car was ready in a matter of a couple of hours. The charge was extremely reasonable and my car is in great running order again. And they found a nail in my tire and I never even knew it. Chris was courteous, very professional and knowledgeable. I have found my mechanic for life. And that’s a comforting feeling. Keep up the great work.

This place is terrible and uses the bait and switch to try and take advantage of people. The lies they told to get unnecessary work for their own profit were rather shocking.
My boyfriend took his car (a 2002 Jetta with 58,000 miles) to this location last week with a coupon for a $ 99 brake pad replacement and rotor resurfacing. For background, I have always done most of my own basic car maintenance, but for 99 bucks + the time involved + purchase of parts made this a good deal. Here at Firestone, however, not so much.
The ultimate quote was over $ 1000 for new rear brake pads, new rear brake calipers and, of course, a full set of new tires.
Let’s start with the tires… Two of his tires are almost new with around 10,000 miles on them. They are 60,000 mile tires so I’m not sure why the urgency (other than to put money in their pocket) expressed by this Firestone to have them replaced. Lie #1.
The other two tires are older and more worn. However, the tires have wear indicators that are still present and, while they could be replaced, probably have another 10 – 20,000 miles left in them.
Now the brakes. The rear brake pads were bad as I suspected, and are likely what caused the slight noise that prompted the visit. Brake pad replacement for $ 99 apparently wasn’t good enough because after new tires they stated he had «metal on metal» and his calipers needed to be replaced because they were so screwed up. This is lie #2.
First, anyone who’s ever driven a car with metal on metal brake issues knows it unless they are totally deaf. The scraping noise is so obvious you’d have to be completely clueless not to know there was a serious issue. Second, while he supposedly had «metal on metal» they did not recommend that he replace his rotors? At a minimum resurfacing would be required, but in that serious a case it is more likely they would have been required to be replaced. It shocks me they didn’t recommend them be replaced because 1) with metal on metal that’s a given and 2) they would have made even more money! Lie #3
For the diagnosed bad calipers (at a cost of over $ 200/​each) for his rear wheels, it should be noted that they did nothing more than removing the back tires. No leaking fluid, no bad brake lines nothing. Just eyeballing with the tire off! Now, while it is possible that my boyfriend may have needed new calipers, the odds were slim it was actually needed. My brother (who also does all his own car maintenance) has put over 250,000 miles on a truck on which he replaced brake pads and rotors on multiple occasions and has never replaced the calipers. I was naturally skeptical of this diagnosed problem.
Once he got the quote for over $ 1000, my boyfriend called me and asked what to do. I told him to leave and that I would do the brake pad replacement job for him and that If the car actually needed calipers we’d see about taking it to another shop that I know is reputable.
Here we are a week later and all in, he spent $ 30 for a Haynes manual (so I could know what to do on his specific car) $ 18 on rear brake pads and $ 7 on brake anti-​squeal glue. His calipers, as expected, are totally fine.
I would recommend going just about anywhere else to have work done on your car. These guys are willing to lie to inflate problems that don’t exist and will perform work you don’t need so they can make more money. They are the type that give auto repair guys a bad name.

I came here for an alignment. I have a lowered car and the rear camber is pretty bad. I was told that there was a special on the lifetime alignment, but then that it didn’t apply to my car. I was told that they could do the alignment on my vehicle before I waited to get it into the garage. No problem. Then, when the car was in the garage, I was told that that an alignment couldn’t be done because the vehicle has different size tires on the front and back of the car. I explained that I needed the alignment to fit the rear tires that I wanted to install. They said it couldn’t be done until all 4 wheels were the same size.
So I went home and changed 1 tire and came back to Firestone. I also purchased a new tire so that I could have all 4 tires/​wheels the same size on the vehicle. Then, I waited again to get the alignment. After a couple of hours, I was told that an alignment couldn’t be done on the vehicle, as it just wasn’t an option on the vehicle. At this point, I was pretty disappointed, as I had waited around, gone home and swapped tires, and then purchased another tire just to get the alignment.
When I got back out to my car, the front door was catching on the side trim of the car. I went in to explain that this was not the case before its going into the shop. The salesman and the mechanic came out to check it out and I complained about having to buy a tire for an alignment I couldn’t get and how I didn’t want to also take my car home in worse shape than I’d brought it in. At this point, the mechanic that had worked on my car offered to refund the tire and asked the salesman to process the refund. I thought that was actually really cool of him.
The shop didn’t get any money from me after refunding me for the tire and not being able to do the alignment, but I also spent most of my Saturday there at Firestone. I don’t fault them too much for not being familiar with the vehicle, but imagine it could have been seen that the rear is not adjustable for camber when it was first in the shop before I changed tires. I don’t think it’s a huge negative and I’d come back here if I needed to get into the shop. It’s great that they’re open on weekends!
