I am always excited to try a Washington winery, so when we found that Cedergreens Cellars was offering a wine-tasting at Swirl Wine Bar, we had to check it out. I have been passing on whites lately, but their Sauvignon Blanc was one of my favorites. There was a slight sweetness on the tongue with a very refreshing finish. The Chenin Blanc was drier, which was exactly what my BF wanted, and he was a big fan of this one. I feel that both whites were quite good, and would love to try them at a colder temperature. We also tried the red blend called Thuja, a Merlot/Cab Sauv and a great complement to the Spanish almonds we were snacking on. We also tried a Merlot and a Cabernet Sauvignon. The Cabernet Sauvignon was my favorite. My BF likes to pair wine with a meal, but we agreed this would be good with a pasta dish or pizza, or with simply a nice Parmesan cheese.
