Bridle Trails

Wanted to provide an update for my review, as the experiences while living here have changed dramatically since the review was published.
Bridle Trails Apartments still has one of the best staff around (if not, perhaps the best) and they’re always attentive in seeking out your needs. That will never change.
However, my girlfriend and I have had persistent issues with two of our cars: bent passenger door, door key lock mechanism being pushed into the door itself (likely from a failed break in), damage to the trunk from attempts to break into it, stolen property from the vehicle (including paperwork), long key scratch along the side of one vehicle, repeated vandalism.
I can’t say enough how disheartening this is, especially after we recently experienced a car accident less than a mile from home. We’ve spoke with staff multiple times and the patrol has at least prevented future breaks ins of our vehicles, but the vandalism persists.
While the staff is great, the walkable location amazing, the yearly open pool/​jacuzzi and the relatively safe community are great. I’m finding it hard to justify the costs of this location given the ongoing damage to our personal vehicles. If you don’t have a car though, you can add a couple stars to this review.

I moved out from the Bridle Trails Apartments a few months ago and just couldn’t be any more impressed by the Property Management. The grounds were always well kept, the staff were very friendly, they always communicated with the tenants of any potential inconveniences and gave notice way in advance! I also got a birthday card from the staff! Lindsay Raines is the Property Manager and she was so personable, understanding and always willing to help any issue or conflict that came up! I did move out because I wanted to live in a house rather an apartment and the price was going to escalate, however, this is true for the entire Eastside so I don’t penalize their rating at all. In fact, these apartments were more affordable than most. Thanks Bridle Trails Apartments!

I moved here on a lease takeover and did enjoy my time here but I won’t be renewing my lease as the prices seem to keep climbing. $ 1600 for a two bedroom two bathroom apartment is horrible for a student. Not even that big either. The Windows aren’t very well sealed either but the location is fantastic and they have a pretty great pool… Lindsay in the office is probably the best plus side to living in these apartments. She is incredibly helpful and sweet.

Location Location Location… the only reason to live here.
We had lived in the Bridle Trails Apartments for 3 years. Granted when we moved in it was fine, management had changed hands and we didn’t have any problems off the bat. Eventually things started going from bad to worse to terrible. Originally the rent was about 1000 for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom, we paid on time and were quiet and didnt complain or have issues with the apartment.
After our lease was up and we had to renegotiate a new lease term the management would only give us a +200 on rent or pay $ 500 more to go month to month. Didn’t care for this but we stayed and hoped that if we had to renew again it wouldn’t be much worse, eventually items started failing like the exhaust fan in the kitchen, started leaking, mold began to appear in the apartment, we were told to keep windows open so that condensation should clear, however every day this happened it was super cold and we had to crank up the heat.
We eventually had ice forming INSIDE the window sill and again were told that we need to keep the windows open, we closed the windows and ice still formed on the inside of the glass near the sash, apparently these were double paned windows that were made to look single pane? What really ticked me off was that they did NOT plow the driveway into the complex when we were dumped with snow last year and yet we were told that this was too happen in a few days.
Those days past then some more with no resolution. My wife went into labor and luckily for us her Mom who drives an AWD Yukon was able to take us to the hospital. Then later after we go to the hospital we hear from one of our relatives who went back to get the car seat at our apartment that they had plowed the driveway. We started to have mold show up in the apartment and my wife was pregnant, the maintenance worker said «I guess you could call it that» when we pointed out the black spots on the ceiling near the window and bathroom areas and asked if it was mold. Again nothing was done.
Eventually stuff started to wear out and we were there for little more than a year. Maintenance was lazy as they would just patch up broken items with duct-​tape and call it fixed, something I could do. The pool was a nice amenity, when it was OPEN. They closed the pool and jacuzzi area off for about 9 months for remodeling, yet when all was done you couldn’t see a difference. The gym was the only comfort to an otherwise dull experience but no one wiped down or maintained equipment, sometimes a treadmill would be busted or a piece of equipment missing such as a pin for the weights or key for the elliptical, treadmill or stationary bike to work.
Apparently, I found out that the rate hike was across the board to pay for new upgrades, when in reality the only upgrades were to tear out the old dumpster caddies area and replace them with new, not really signficant, this was in 2008, not sure if there has been any significant upgrades since.
The management staff was courteous and friendly and sent us best wishes on the birth of our son. I do not discount them that but I do say that I was severely disappointed with the service and amenities provided. We now live in our home and am glad to get out of renting.
