Was a bit hesitant because of all the reviews but glad we went with our choice to go. The place was clean not very crowded on a Friday night. The servers were very attentive and the food came out fast! Enjoyed the meals of tacos, burgers and carne asada, all though it reminded us very much of homemade cooking it was perfect! Nothing fancy, just kept it simple and flavorful.

Your food is plain. Your prices are high. Are you Taco Time or Azteca?

We have always chosen Azteca as our top favorite Mexican food, but this location is really lacking. We came in for lunch and at best our food was just OK but we have definitely had better. The servers are pleasant but not attentive. My wife sat there with an empty glass for a good portion of lunch. Lots of people walking by but nobody really checked in on us and the place was not that busy at all. My wife had the pollo ala crema and it was really greasy and not appetising. She has ordered that many times and has always enjoyed it. I had the club quesadilla, which was pretty much some bacon, chicken, Pico and lettuce rolled in a dry tortilla with barely any cheese to even deserve to be called a «quesadilla». It makes me sad to give this restaurant a bad review because we have had delicious experiences at other locations. Unfortunately my wife and I will not return to this one. Too many disappointing meals.

Great service, good food, and a full bar. The parking is a little tricky, but we figured it out. We had a band board meeting there and we got a big table away from the regulars. The wait staff was excellent, and the food came steaming hot. I had the carne asada and Suzy had a combo plate. With a white russian apéritif, I was one happy diner.

It’s so hard to give three stars considering Claudia((bar server)) makes every moment as painfully slow as possible. Came in at 4. Was asked at 4:07 what we wanted to eat and was given more time. It wasn’t until 4:25 we were able to place our order. It’s like she doesn’t comprehend a thing I say When cashing out I said I would cover the table’s check. She proceeds to hand individual checks. Either she doesn’t listen or she just doesn’t care to! Don’t waste your time in the bar. Go to the bartender who actually knows what he is doing. Only giving three stars because the bartender makes every visit bearable.

Where is the no star when you need it? I’m pretty sure they require you to drink their watered down booze to try to sterilize the food they are serving. Pretty sure the last time I forgot to drink the booze I got a food borne illness. The food is bland and underwhelming. It’s slop on a plate.

I give this place one star only because zero stars doesn’t seem to be an option. Where to begin? You get the usual basket of chips to start, which are fine, but the accompanying salsa is watery and boring. Just making it hot doesn’t mean it’s good. Give it some flavor. The mojito I ordered was expensive, mostly ice, and tasted mediocre. If you are going to serve me a mediocre expensive drink, at least have the courtesy to not rip me off as well. And the seafood enchiladas. Yuck. The seafood was OK, but there was hardly any in the dish. It was paired with carrots, which gave the dish an off-putting texture. They were wrapped in a tortilla and then covered with a terrible white salty sauce. I didn’t bother with dessert. This place was an insult to good Mexican food. I didn’t expect a lot, but they were way worse than I even expected. I only went because I was meeting a group that chose this place. If I ever have to go again, I’ll just have a beer and skip the food entirely. No mas.

I go here for the happy hour cause the prices are good. Sad thing is the bartender doesn’t give you a full shot in your margarita unless you get the gold margaritas. Which is fine cause they’re still good just no booze. The food is 5 stars but the bartenders drinks are 1 star. Only bar that I’ve continued to be under poured no matter if it’s happy hour or not.

As with most restaurants, once you find an item you like in the menu your golden. It took a few tries but I found the fajita quesadilla to be my item. I really enjoy their happy hour house margaritas! Yum staff has always done well with large parties.

Went there twice, 1st time had the Arroz con Pollo and it was good enough, but the second time I got the steak fajita quesadilla and it was amazing, the steak so tender and juicy and the flavor was great. Overall good experience. Will go again. Craving that fajita quesadilla soon! They are a bit spendy tho, otherwise I would give 5 stars.

Came here the other day and had a great experience. Ordered the Tacos Authenticos and it was so delicious! The steak was cooked perfectly & the amount you get for the price is unbeatable! The service was also great! I will be back!

So, let’s be honest, when you go to a chain Mexican restaurant that is found all over the Eastside in identical garishly-designed faux adobe buildings, you’re not going to get authentic, cheap taco truck eats. Therefore, I went in with managed expectations that I would be getting chain restaurant-level food, service and prices. I went with my family on a weeknight. There was no wait and service was paced very well throughout my meal. The manager made the rounds twice to ensure everyone was having a good meal. We were seated in a kid-friendly area where other families were dining in booths, so our boisterous lot didn’t wreak too much havoc on other diners. Our server for the evening was Raul Z., and he was exceptional. He was aware of when we were ready to order and kept a keen eye on when we needed refills for drinks and chips. As for the food, it was pretty good. The chips and salsa are excellent — the chips are thick and crunchy, and the salsa is pureed and spicy(just the way I like it). We got the queso dip with chorizo, and although the chorizo made it extra oily, it was goooood. Like dangerously good. I also enjoyed a Jalapeño Pineapple Margarita that was both sweet and spicy — also dangerously good. They have plenty of kid-friendly options on the Little Amigo menu, and I appreciated that drinks were included with their meals — all for $ 4.95. My oldest son really enjoyed his beef enchilada and beef taco(not on kids’ menu) — I figured he would be too full from chips and queso to make a decent dent in his meal, but he actually finished his plate. My husband and I shared the Fajita Sampler, which comes with steak, chicken and shrimp. It was fine — pretty standard, but as typical of Mexican restaurants, they were generous with their accompaniments — rice, refried beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, cheese and sour cream. One note — the refried beans here are creamy goodness — the family agreed it was probably one of the best we have had. So, come with managed expectations of what you expect out of a chain Mexican restaurant, and I think you’ll enjoy your meal(if you get a good server). Deducting a star because the prices are a bit steep for what you get, even on their lunch menu — kids’ meals being an exception.

I think this Azteca is clutch. They are rarely super busy, the food is quick and solid. The beer is always flowing just right. What’s not to like, sometimes I prefer coming here to going to more of a high end TexMex style joint. Staff is legitsquad Parking is plentiful Fajitas are #adrobs

Well. Service needs to be a bit better. Taking too long to get our food and my beverage has needed a refill since I ordered food. Just a two top. The server is table hopping and others are not helping each other keep up better customer service. Just a suggestion. Allow hosts and service assistants to refill drinks as needed especially when the kitchen is taking too long to get the food out. After the food came. The manager started helping. Service became better from then on.

I’ve been in the bar a few times, I can recommend it as one of the better Aztecs in the area. But on that note I wouldn’t go in there with a time constraint. Maybe go to the movies first then make this the last stop, usually takes a while to get refills, change, the bill etc. However the food comes in a timely manner the staff is friendly enough.

The service was great. The staff was very polite, tentative, and they work as a team. The food… not so great. The taste wasn’t worth the amount I paid. The only part of the meal my kiddos liked was desert… sopapillas.

I’ve gone to this place since I was little and have only now began to fully appreciate it. The menu has undergone a much needed face lift and the service(at least in the bar) has improved immensely. I ordered the Pina Colada, not a usual for me bit I’m glad I did. Not too sweet and went nicely with my food. The marinated pork tacos were easy to eat and flavorful without being too salty. The dish came with all the fix-ins and I was satisfied and not to full after eating it all. Although it was a quiet Tuesday afternoon, the bar server was attentive and delivered our check promptly. Most other times I’ve sat in the bar area, service was slow… not today!

Work down the street. Pretty much our go-to lunch place for three years. Food is good(friend says it is the best burger in the area, ironically). Amazing at seating large last minute groups.

I’m not a fan of Mexican food, but everyone I know is, so here I am. We sat in the bar area. It is Saturday afternoon. Pretty empty, which is nice for us. Fast service. Nice, comfy booth. Typical décor. Love the Frida Kahlo movie photo on the wall amongst the other photos. Ordered the coconut shrimp. It was too sweet for me. Big pieces and fried nicely, but it was just way too sweet. The dipping sauce was like a peachy marmalade or something and my teeth ached from the sweetness. But who am I to complain, I kept on eating it. We should have just gotten this because it really filled us up. Chips and salsa beforehand added to the fullness. The salsa was kinda blah, tasted like the kind you get in a bottle at Safeway. Chips were okay. Main dish — steak fajita quesadilla. Big portion. Most of the steak was in the middle part of the quesadilla. The end pieces had almost no meat/cheese/fillings, but the middle piece was bulging with steak. We started from the outside in and were too full to eat any of the good stuff. LOL. Our waiter was nice, attentive, quick. Pretty standard fare.
