Anyone ever been inside a full scale replica of a confederate iron clad warship? Well I have and it’s a pretty interesting piece of history. Apparently this is the only one of its kind in existence anywhere according to the bearded museum keeper. It’s full sized and made of wood and also amazingly enough, officially registered as a vessel with the coast guard. Best part about this museum is that it’s free to go in and look around. Granted there isn’t a lot to see but you really get a sense of how cramped and insanely difficult serving on one of those boats would have been. If you are in the area be sure and check it out.
