History

Established in 2015.

Theory Salon and Wellness opened it’s doors in March 2015 after over a decade of envisioning a creative space that not only focused and cared for our guest’s look, but also their well-​being. We are a sustainable salon, and we are proud to work with a number of sustainable companies. We also work with a few non-​profit organizations and community outreach programs. Our team of dedicated designers are ready to help you look and feel your best… from the inside out!

Meet the Business Owner

Amber R.

Business Owner

Amber attended Empire Beauty school in 2001. She completed the cosmetology program in ten months, and received her license in 2002. She has trained with a variety of educators over the year, and has learned a multitude of specialties, including precision cutting, highlighting, low-​lighting and hair color techniques and is also proficient in keratin smoothing and various skincare techniques.

Prior to earning her license in cosmetology, Amber attended Eastern Michigan University and studied Secondary Education and Spanish. Here, she was fortunate enough to be selected for two separate internships with Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. During her internships, Amber took several business courses where she learned key ideas regarding excellent customer service. Excellent customer service has since then become a very deep passion and priority to Amber. Not only does she want you to look and feel your best, but she genuinely wants to see you happy and enjoying every moment.
