History

Established in 1993.

I started training in 1990 when I got my Boxer and then added a few more dogs. I apprenticed with another trainer for a while then struck out on my own; Opening Crystal Kennels in 1993. In 1998 I sold it so I could train full time. I learned a lot in those 5 years observing the dogs. I also read everything about behavior I could get my hands on. But you learn to train by training. I work with my customers in their homes or wherever the problems are, such as at the park the beach or walking in their neighborhood. I like working with one family at a time because I can focus all my energy on their particular problem. Most people are happy with 3 visits because I teach them to train their own dog in the environment where the problems are. Besides my own customers I help the local shelter evaluating dogs. I also have a show on PACTV to inform the public on dog related issues. Recently I’ve been working with a donkey. Using Clicker Training I’ve taught her to back up on cue. I love my job!

Meet the Business Owner

Stephanie D.

Business Owner

Hi my name is Stephanie and I’ve been working with dogs for 25 years. I came to this career as a pet owner who just wanted my dogs to have good manners. I have had up to four dogs living in a very small house and manners were all important. Most of them were adopted as older dogs with many problems and I can truly say they all turned out to be wonderful pets. We have since said goodbye to the first group and hello to new dogs. Soon I expect we will face the cycle all over again. This is the hard part but the memories live on forever and I could not even imagine my life with out a dog in it.
