First time there! Amazing staff, food, wine and spirits. A nice mix of fresh seafood with old school style. Big portions, fresh veggies, in house sauces and dressings. The staff is very knowledgable of the specials, wine and food. They do not rush you or make you feel unwanted.

My husband and I went there for the first time this evening. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff was great, all friendly and helpful. A diversified menu. The food was excellent. Someone compared this to a famous chain; this is far superior to a chain, this is a REAL seafood restaurant! The shrimp scampi was outstanding, as was the chicken francais. The meal portions were plentiful. Salad, veggie tray, garlic bread were also yummy.

Some of the worst food I ever ate ever. The place is creepy, the food is completely bland and disgusting, and the seafood I’m sure is dirtier than the Hudson River in Yonkers. Not worth your time or money.

First please understand that this event happened a couple of years ago, but I am just in the mood to write reviews now while I have a moment, and I will never forget this awful first impression. Food and service was mediocre at best, 3 stars is really pushing it. 1-star atmosphere is lacking… kindof feels like a sticky, dingy pirate ship. Staff was awful, I would rate it 0 stars if possible. The only reason I tried this restaurant was because I had a coupon from the Entertainment book, valid for a BOGO free entrée. Turns out they refused to honor this coupon because the item I ordered(from the regular dinner menu) happened to be listed as a special that night, and the coupon does not apply to «specials.» I said it is not technically a «special dish» since it appears in their regular menu with a fixed price. They said they do not have to honor the coupon at all and insisted I pay the full tab. I did not want to make a scene so I paid, left, told all of my friends and family what happened, and will never return. I can’t imagine they will stay in business much longer if they keep treating new customers this way.

Had a good burger. A little overcooked. Ordered it medium rare. Although over cooked just a bit, it was still good. Great tasting blue cheese dressing that they make in house. Would be nice if they had a better selection of IPAs and other beers. Worth going back but only if it was«On the way» to somewhere.

Lobstah! Ambience: Quaint place with an old inn style to it. Quiet and warm. Service: Very friendly and fast delivery. Food: I had the lobster which can be ordered according to weight. Very fresh and cooked to perfection. The main came with an ordinary selection of sides but the Manhattan clam chowder was tasty. Price: Was based on the size of lobster and was just a bit above average, but considering the quality it was worth it. I’d go back here any time for a fill of lobster. But judging by the quality of that meal I’d also like to sample some of the rest of the menu.

I was in Kingston for business and after a week of burgers and takeout I wanted something a little nicer for my last night in town. Bowery Dugout more than fit the bill. In addition to a more standard bread basket with garlic bread they offer crudités which is a nice touch. The wine was a very generous pour, which might have contributed to why the rest of the meal was so great(I don’t think so though). The service was good, very friendly. When recommending the homemade blue cheese dressing with my salad the waitress said it was«fricken awesome.» She was right, it was. If I lived closer I definitely would have taken advantage of the ability to buy it by the pint. I started out with the littleneck clams on the half-shell, which were great and tasted fresh. For dinner I had the house specialty Swai Filet. It was a huge piece of fish, falling over the edge of both sides of the plate. I opted for the garlic cream instead of the lemon butter, and it felt like a good choice. The sauce was rich, but a nice complement to the fish. It was delicious, but I don’t think I finished more than half because it was just giant. That didn’t stop me from coffee and a little dessert, though. Honestly the dessert selections were a little disappointing. Nothing looked even remotely homemade but I opted for a chocolate mousse that was good, if not spectacular. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place for a nice meal in Kingston.

I got food there this month and the soup had no cheese, the entrees both had HAIR in them, and the fries were served in soaking fish juice. I got one of the entrees and my soup replaced, but nothing was done about the other hairy entrée we got. I brought this to the attention of the manager, but nothing was done to compensate us for our trouble. I bought $ 50.00 worth of lunch and gave a nice tip, but did not get what I paid for. Never again will we spend money here. I gave the manager every opportunity to help resolve this, but apparently this was not important enough to him. What a waste of my money and time. I could have had a better lunch at a fast food place, and I would do that instead next time I wanted to order lunch.

All the food was homwmade and delicious. Tge service was great, rarely do you get food this great on a whim without nowing anything. Supposedbto go somewhere else, but it didn’t work out. Prices were very reasonable, and I wanted to order more thingsvthan I could eat. This place is a big YES.

We had a gift certificate so I thought why not give it a shot. The buffalo calamari was good however the tomato salad was drowned in oil. Entrees were plain and sorely lacking a vegetable. My dish was coated in enough paprika to make the dish gritty and feel like it was dusted with sand. Also the lobster tail tasted vaguely of copper pennies. My wife’s entrée consisted of a 1 ¼ pound lobster and was fine but would be shocked if they ruined a steamed lobster.

I am a difficult patron. I know it and cut some slack when needed. No slack necessary here. Our server was outstanding. Attentive yet not overbearing. She knew the menu well and remained aware during dinner service of our special dietary requests. Without prompting she knew not to use raspberry sauce on our daughter’s dessert because she recalled from the start of beverage service that our little one could not have red dyes. Our courses were prompt and the crudite was a nice alternative to bread. Salad was a nice mix of greens and happy to find almost all of the dressings were housemade. My broiled seafood combo was moist, tender and flavorful. best broled scallops I have had in awhile. The only thing keeping this place from a fifth star from me are the desserts. they’re not bad… Bindi is a safe and consistantly good choice… but with so many things being made in house it would have been expected to see more«real» dessert choices. Clean place, great food, exceptional service. Absolutely out this on your go-to list!

If you’re in the area, and want fantastic seafood… this is the place. They have a slightly nicer dinning room upstairs, and a more casual setting downstairs. The menu consist of very good, rich, oldschool seafood dishes. Great atmosphere, well prepared food, friendly staff… you can’t beat it.

Woe stop right at the door and turn around. The food was salty and drowned in butter. The help wasn’t helpful. We had our dinner downstairs(maybe upstairs is better?) To say the least not a top pick. Actually didn’t even make the pick list.
