Rip you off & sell you pre-​owned junk. Bought Nissan Pathfinder here. Since day 1 my check Engine light was on. My warranty covered all of nothing, fully aware of Nissan Recalls on the pathfinder they never replaced or even told us about the SAFETY recall on parts. Deliberately lie to you about THEIR extended warranties on purchased vehicles. Was bought in summer of 2005. In Feb of 2007 with no signs or warnings of My car having an issue Tranny just blew. Completely garbage. Never again!

A co-​worker of mine walked into work the other day all excited. «I just found a car!»
She’s 18, just got her license, and has been impatiently looking to get a cheap used car to get around in. She was going to pick it up that evening, or the next day, but she had already paid.
The first red flag went up as I read her bill of sale. She had paid 1300 for the car, but the bill of sale said 699 (conveniently $ 1 under the amount that MA requires cars to come with a warranty) + 299 taxes and registration. She also had not taken the car to a mechanic to be inspected, and had left them with a check anyways.
I decided to take a ride down to Kingston with her to check out this ‘great deal’.
Fast forward to us sitting in a big open room with lots of balloons a big spinning wheel giving away prizes, fold tables with very cheap table clothes and bad lighting. A dealer is sitting across from us with an unusually large and expensive looking watch. He’s talking to my co-​worker about how they had dropped the price on the invoice. He’s not sure, so he calls the finance guy over. The finance guy patiently explains they had doctored the receipts because if the car goes for more than 700, they have to warranty the car. This way, she saves on taxes, and they can sell her the car.
The dealer steps back in and explains that it would be too expensive to go through the shop to be warrantied (he’s quoting 1000 dollars just to put it through the shop!). He keeps mentioning, «remember its not a BMW, so it won’t drive as smooth» (she had driven her mom’s car to the dealership). So instead they had doctored the receipt so they could get a «nice girl» into a car for the price she wanted.
They were doing her a favor. She also gets to pay less taxes as a result.
Ignoring TAX FRAUD, and the fact that IF it cost 1000 – 3000 bucks JUST to get the car in shape to be warrantied then the cars isn’t fit to be sold…
Wait, I can’t ignore that, so I start chiming in.
Pretty soon the tensions are rising a bit, so we decide to step away for a minute, and take the car for a test drive to see if this shady deal might not be as bad as it seems.
As she tries to drive forward it gets up to about 5mph at 3500 rpms. Thinking the E-​break is on, or maybe the new driver is doing something wrong, I take the wheel. 10 mph, 4500 rpms. … Yep, the transmission is shot to hell.
Before I even have the car in park, the dealer is standing next to the car saying «I’ll take it from here» handing us the Check she had written that morning. «I just need to get the papers back» (burning the evidence?)
So… This place tried to pull a quick one. It seemed like a comedic stereotype of a used car dealer. If you know a lot about cars, and do great in high pressure sales environment, and have cash on hand, you could probably get a deal. If you don’t meet ALL those criteria, stay away from this place. Give your money to a nice Nigerian widow instead.
