Stitched In Stone

I’m on the West Coast and thus haven’t had the opportunity to visit the store in person; this is a review about great selection and ***wonderful*** customer service.
So I’m working on a project that’s eating up more yarn than I’d planned for — yes, the common crocheter’s lament. The lovely yarn I’m using is from a fairly well-​known manufacturer based right in my own city (Seattle), which lulled me into a false sense of security about being able to pick up another skein if needed. (It’s a variegated colorway, which also made me complacent about matching the dye lots. It happens.) But when it came time to get more… DISCONTINUED! PANIC! WAILING AND GNASHING OF TEETH! Neither my local store nor the Internet were being terribly helpful…
…and then along came Tammy and everything was grand. I phoned the shop and asked if they really, truly had the colorway in stock as the site claimed; she went over and checked, and was entirely sweet about doing so. She reassured me that she was looking right at it, took my credit card info, and promised me that she’d have the skein in the mail ASAP. And not only did she ship it out that night as promised, she left me a voicemail to let me know she did it. You think you’re getting that level of help from Amazon? YOU MOST CERTAINLY ARE NOT.
And here I sit less than 48 hours later, the project-​saving skein in hand, marveling at the fact that my new favorite crafting store is three time zones away. Thanks so much, Tammy!
