I’ve eaten here plenty of times and have always enjoyed what I order. Food is always perfectly seasoned and made fresh to order. The people that work there are very friendly and are super patient with explaining or describing something that is spanish on the menu that you don’t understand. Reasonable prices too!

FIRST — it is important to note that the 6085 address is incorrect. The correct address is 608 Broadway. We have been jonesing pupusas for a while now and we can safely say we got our fix!!! It is quite the schlep from Albany but it is totally worth it. I devoured a breakfast plate(scrambled eggs with peppers, onions and tomatoes, black refried beans, cheese, plantains, and tortillas) and 2 cheese pupusas. My husband had the same breakfast plate but he had 2 pupusas with cheese and chicharron. We rolled out of there and were completely satisfied. The pupusas were so good we decided to take 12 back home with us. It was very hard not to rip right into the bag on our way back home. I only wish the crema wasn’t so runny. We will definitely be back.

Formerly«El Rey De Pollo», this Broadway Salvadoran grill provides an inexpensive alternative to the fast food run of the mill chains Ample parking on the side street, and all food is freshly prepared to order. My go to dish is the«medio pollo», a wood grilled half chicken, served with rice and beans or with fries and salad. For eight dollars, it can’t be beat. Last night, rather than endure a cramped and crowded popular place, I suggested this alternative, even though one of my friends doesn’t eat meat, except fish. We chose the family style combination, a huge platter overflowing with chicken, steak, pork ribs, and shrimp, rice and beans. The three of us knocked off so much that we were quite satisfied and still had a full large take out container for the fridge. We fed three adults for $ 36 amply. No, its not fancy, but very welcoming.

We stopped here looking for a restaurant that no longer exists So, we decided to try what replaced it. We were greeted like friends. Mainor, the owner, explained anything we asked about and some of what we didn’t ask about. He offered samples, and offered to prepare whatever we’d like how we’d like. His English is very good. In the end we had puposas and garnachas. The food was freshly prepared, fresh tasting, delicious and nicely presented. The portions were generous and the price quite moderate. The room is a nicely restored old storefront, with a great tin ceiling. Everything is clean. Many of the other guests were Spanish speaking — always a good sign…

ditto what George B. said in his review. I’ve been twice and will return. I hope they do well as the food is great and I’ll miss it if they can’t make it.
