Consistently tasty food but the staff needs to keep their personal business at home — it creates a very uncomfortable experience when you have to listen to the cashier talk about how ugly the new girlfriend of their ex is along with various things said on Facebook — I will give this place 1 more try but after that I’m done

I think people’s experiences here are relative. In a vacuum, sure Deising’s is good. They are the ONLY show in town. But compared to other good bakeries, they have a ways to go. I had their hard rolls recently. Hard rolls are a NY delicacy that should be done right EVERY time. Deising’s did them so-so. Hard rolls should have a shell-like flaky crust with a soft, airy, almost cotton-candy like inside. They should not be foamy like white bread. Maybe I got a stale batch, not sure. Either way, they were not like the one’s I used to eat in Kingston back in the day. I ordered a sandwich there once and wasn’t blown away either. I know, opinions are opinions and taste in food is subjective. But there ARE standards. My recommendation for people of Kingston is uphold the standards because they’ll surely slide. Expect more from your bakeries because good, I mean really good, baked bread is becoming a lost art fast. Kingston used to have a number of good bakeries that have all closed down.

Wonderful food and atmosphere. Love their breakfasts(great sausages) soups & hard rolls. Their napoleon’s are fantastic.

I like their ham and egg sandwich on a fresh hard roll. The coffee is self-serve so you get to jazz it up just the way you like it.

The Deising’s on Broadway is a disappointment. Went in there in October and the place was empty. Two young guys working the counter there got us menus to look over in our booth. The sign says they«serve breakfast all day» but they didn’t have anything we wanted to order from the menu. They were OUT of croissants, they were OUT of a few things, and their breakfast sausage is a patty, not those chubby links like you get at the North Front Street location, just so you know… Just what kind of breakfast is it when a BAKERY that supposedly«serves breakfast all day» has no croissants at 11:30 in the morning? What’s more, this location closes at 1:00 p.m. so WHAT is the point in advertising they are«serving breakfast all day» when they aren’t even OPEN all day?! We simply handed the menus back and said NOTHANKYOU, and we left. I must say the Deising’s uptown on North Front Street is MUCH better, so I would go THERE if I were you. Deisings seriously needs to improve the Broadway location by having foods available and to be open all day if you tell the public you serve breakfast«all day» Otherwise, they should state«serving breakfast until 1 p.m.» At least that would be honest and accurate advertising. I have been residing in the local area for decades, and I know what places need to improve because I am not some tourist passing through here.
