Specialties

My law firm does Bankruptcy, Divorce and family law and Wills and estates.

History

Established in 1980.

I have practiced law for over 30 years. Until recently my office was in Church Hill. I have now relocated my office in downtown Kingsport at 710 E. Sullivan St. For a brief period early in my career I practiced with another attorney. Otherwise, I have been in solo practice all of my career. I have handled a wide variety of cases over the years and I am able to handle almost any case a client might have. For the last several years I have concentrated on Consumer law, including bankruptcies, Divorce and family law and Wills and estates. I am a Debt Relief Agency and help people file bankruptcy under the bankruptcy code.

Meet the Business Owner

Steven F.

Business Owner

I was born in Kingsport, Tennessee and was reared in Carter’s Valley just north of Church Hill in Hawkins County, Tennessee. My education was in the public schools of Hawkins County. First at Carter’s Valley Elementary School and then Church Hill High School. After graduating high school I attended The University of Tennessee and receive a B.S. in Business Administration. After graduating I worked for a year as a contractor. Then I returned to UT to get my law degree. In May 1980 I was admitted to the practice of law.

In 1984 I was married. We had two sons, John Carl and Jacob. They are the light of my life. John Carl is finishing up at UT and Jacob is finishing up at East Tennessee State. Jacob hopes to go to law school.

I am active in the First Baptist Church of Church Hill and in the East Hawkins County Kiwanis Club. When I was younger I was a member of the Church Hill Jaycees. They kick you out of the Jaycees after you get so old.
