History

Established in 1985.

ATC Cooling & Heating has served the Tri-​Cities area for 30 plus years, and the business has been located at 120 Brookfield Lane in Kingsport, TN for 25 years.

ATC’s Owner, Bud Phillips, has over 50 years of experience in the HVAC business, including over 20 years experience with environmentally conscious Geothermal heat pump systems.

Our Installation Foreman, James Benton, has been with the company for 25 years, and Co-​Owner Debra Phillips has been ATC’s Office Manager for 26 years. Our Managers and Technicians attend training seminars each year in order to stay current with the changing equipment and latest technology.

ATC is licensed, bonded, and insured in Tennessee and Virginia. We are also a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer (FAD). We have a modern in-​house sheet metal fabrication shop with computer operated duct cutting equipment. Our Service Technicians are trained and certified to service all brands of equipment.
