Food is okay but be careful when you order out. We order the kung– po chicken and it was sad. NOT one peace of chicken. They should just call it kung-​po vegetables. Broccoli beef had very little beef but can’t be to upset at least it had some.

Restraunt atmosphere was ok but once we ordered the waitress brought us wrong order then fussed about having to correct it her mistake not ours. The orange chicken was not good it was like out of a bag from the frozen isle but with toooooo much sauce. We won’t eat here again Shame but they didn’t impress us you only get one shot

Rude staff !!! The food is average, nothing special. Recommend going to Selma or visalia

HORRIBLE waitresses and service! I went to the restaurant to pick up a to-​go order, and upon being handed my food and walking out, I was yelled (more like screamed at) for taking the wrong food. This was the food I was handed! Then I had to wait for another 30 minutes for my food to be prepared, without an apology. When my order finally came the waitress nearly kicked me out and waved me off with her hand. All because of their own mistake! Other than that, portions are always inconsistent and I have found hair and even a nail clipping in my food before. When I informed the waitresses, they accused me of putting the hair in my own food and yelled across the whole restaurant. Have been a loyal customer on a weekly basis for the past 10 years but will no longer return! Do yourself a favor, and go to any other restaurant in the area. Try Chinese Pagoda on the block over!

We recently moved to Kingsburg and tried this place out. It was very good everything from the egg flower soup to the egg rolls. Service was good and waitresses are very prompt. Iced tea is delightful and the noodles and chow main are the best. Also what I really loved about this place is the atmosphere and how the food isnt to greasy and it does not sit heavy on your stomach. The portions are very good sized for the price. Highly recommend.

I have no idea where to start with this place. TL;DR: The food is fantastic but service gets minus 3 stars because of one person (I so desperately want to give 1 star but I can’t find it in me to be so critical of an establishment because of one person.). The food is great, and every other employee besides the one mentioned below is good.
My family and I have been going here for more than a decade. I’m not sure what has changed but over the past two years the service has been so bad that we recently decided it wasn’t worth it. And this is after deciding to stick to take out.
Its really just one women, I believe she may be one of the owners. She has been so hostile towards us, even complete strangers have made comments about it. I honestly have never been treated so poorly by anyone and I usually keep complaints to myself unless there is a major issue.
One such occasion, which is the first instance of this behavior, was when my friend (a redhead) found a long black hair in her food (erm… half in her mouth, too.) No one at our table had black hair. Friend pulled it out and set it on the napkin to be sure of what we were seeing and we, as discreetly as possible, told the waitress about it. She yelled at us. Legitimately, raised her voice, and yelled at us. She screamed something about why did we take it off the plate, assumingly, alluding to the fact that she didn’t believe us. At this point the several other dinners in the restraunt are staring at us while we try to explain it was IN HER MOUTH. We tell her to bring the check. It was shocking and very emberressing and we did not think for a moment that we should get free food out of it (all though it would obviously be a small token of apology). We just wanted to leave. She did end up taking my friends meal off the check. When she brought it she slammed it down telling us she gave us the comp and, very rudely, told us «Next time don’t take it off the plate.» Honestly, if she hadn’t blown up on us we wouldn’t have been bothered. We would have even been cool with paying the full bill and them just replacing the food, because obviously stuff happens and to be honest a hairs not a huge deal to us.
Other instances include her telling us that we would be charged for any and all refills but not setting this rule for the next table or others we know who frequent this place, being straight up ignored to the point where my colleagues and I walked out and being denied silly things like chopsticks and hot oil for take out even though the person before us AND after us were given them.
I don’t know what I did to make her so angry, but it doesn’t matter who I come in with, when or how.
I like to think I’m a very civil, reasonable person but come on this is ridiculous!

My wife loves Sun Hong Kong so we go pretty often. The food is always good and they have excellent service just about every time. I always get either the Teriyaki Chicken or the Salt and Pepper Fish both of which are awesome everytime. I drink alot of ice tea whenever we go eat and my glass is almost never empty at Sun Hong Kong. Highly recommended.

Probably one of the best Chinese restaurants in town! Service is friendly, the interior is warm and welcoming, and the food is like none other in Kingsburg.

I gave a low rating because of the unfriendly and RUDE waitress!!! That’s a big part of the dining experience too. She never gave us drink refills. Food was good otherwise.

Good food, nothing outstanding but the prices just can’t be beat and the service is very friendly.

Possibly 4 stars by Kingsburg standards.
Prices were reasonable, and the food was not bad at all. I enjoyed my Kung Pao chicken, and nobody else at my table had any complaints. A-​OK dining for sure.
One item to note — We were a large group of 7, and the timing of the plates was inconsistent (the first plate came out at least 10 minutes before the last) which made for several minutes of awkward waiting until everyone got their food. I have to give them the benefit of the doubt on this though, since we were such a large walk-​in group in a small establishment.

We are driving by in the area when we were on our way back to LA. So, we stopped by and had their lunch specials. They actually offered a good selection of lunch and with an affordable price.

This restaurant just popped out when I was driving in kingsburg and I was in the mood for some Chinese. The place is nice. Clean. I had the impression from Unilocalers that their English is really bad. I had no experience whatsoever our waitress talked perfect English.
The prices were good and reasonable I ordered the combination plate #3. The price for the plate was 8.95. And it came with their soup that was delicious, didn’t even need salt or soy sauce, just a hint of pepper.
I was kinda upset they didn’t have dim sum and the prices for potstickers were seriously too much almost 1.25 a potsticker. And it only came in 8 in a plate, I didn’t order it but I don’t think I would for those prices. So I don’t think I’ll return only if I am really hungry and being able to enjoy it without buying expensive potstickers.
Overall this is a 3.5 restaurant.

We enjoyed our time at this family restaurant. The orange chicken is one of the best I’ve had… very tasty! Our waitress was attentive and kind.

Best Chinese food in the whole valley. Everyone there is so sweet and the food is amazing. Every time I am in town I make a special trip to eat here because they know how it’s done! The famous L9 has me so sold I rarely order anything else, but I do love their whole menu. I have never had a bad experience or been let down by this place. Highly reccomend!

We eat here a lot, love there food, we get the combination dinner normally comes with hot and sour soup wow is to die for all of what we get is just so good, shrimp with black bean sauce, sweet & sour pork, spring rolls (oh so good) all their food we’ve tried is just so good. Never have had a problem there with service always fast and courteous. Even when my husband goes and gets take out they always ask for me not many places remember you, but they do. Best Chinese restaurant in Kingsburg, reasonable prices, always friendly service would recommend to anyone.

I am a new resident to Kingsburg and have heard a lot of good things about Sun Hong Kong, so I decided to try it out. As a disclaimer, we went in the middle of the week after 7PM.
The service was quick, the price was right, and the food was good. The lunch special combination plates are served as a dinner plate for $ 1 extra and it comes with a cup of egg drop soup, an entrée, fried rice, and chow mein. They also have a wide selection of traditional choices provided at a Chinese Restaurant in California and they also provide family dinner options (several entrees offered at a per person price).
There are a lot of good Chinese options within 15 – 25 minutes of Kingsburg, for instance Dinuba and Visalia but to me, it seems worth it to stay in town and support a local restaurant.

Just went back tonite. I had forgotten my previous review details except that I liked it. I was again really impressed. If this place were in Alameda, it would be my favorite Chinese restaurant on the island!
