I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS TAXI SERVICE!!!
Last Sunday it started snowing on our way back to our friends house that we were visiting from Santa Cruz, CA. We were less than 2 miles from our destination when we hit a patch of ice across the whole street that caused us to turn over our 4-​Runner with my husband, our 2 children (6 & 7 yo) and myself in it! We are all ok, but a little shaken up. Jerry (your taxi driver), and several other Angels walking on this Earth, saved us!!! Jerry had us put the kids in his cab and stayed with us the entire time (more than an hour) FOR FREE!!! At times he was literally babysitting the kids while we both had to be out of the car!!! You are a God Send, Tahoe Taxi Express!!! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You– for your Amazing Drivers!!! Jerry, YOU ROCK!!!

Tahoe Taxi Express is the best Taxi service on the North side of Lake Tahoe! Cheap Fast and Reliable!

Lisa is the best. I almost forgot I was taking a taxi. She is friendly, quick to respond, and creates a great riding experience. Gave me some great tips on living in the area as I am new and some great suggestions on things to do. She was genuine when she talked to me and even checked up to make sure I made it home safe because I had to drive in the snow. I would recommend her any day.

Lisa was excellent. I will definitely use her again! She picked me up promptly in incline village and drive me to reno airport. On the way I had an asthma attack (my first ever) because of the pollen. She was so kind and compassionate. I decided that I could not go on the business trip because of how I was feeling and she ended up driving me right back up the hill. I also really like that she is a female owner!!! Found Lisa at Tahoe Taxi Express on line through Unilocal after a friend of a friend gave me a different recommendation for a checker cab driver… He didn’t answer my call, so I texted… he replied, I’m off tonight (sunday) call checker and they’ll take you…
I called Lisa from Unilocal,she said are you ready to go now? i’ll be there in 5… Was here in 3… 5 bucks from 267 to stateline… I gave her 8… Called about 2 hours later, she picked me up within 8 minutes, brought me home safe… Then about 5 minutes after she drove away, I realized I left one glove in her car, called her, she came right back to deliver it with a smile… Got a big tip too… Then after she drove away, she texted me, nice to meet you and thanks…

All of these reviews are spot on. Service in Norht Lake Tahoe is inconsistent at best and Tahoe Taxi Express is the exception. They go above and beyond to help you out. Beyond reasonable prices, especially for Lake Tahoe. I lam a local in Kings Beach and WAY overtip to insure that I can get to work in the morning or whenever I desperately need a ride and other cab companies continued to not show up and be late no matter how much money I gave them, but from the very first cab ride with Lisa six months ago up until today, taking Tahoe Taxi Express at least five times a week, they have never once let me down. They even took my friends to Garwoods on last minute notice on New Years! Unbelievable! In short, the only taxi cab company worth calling in North Lake Tahoe. Call them: (530) 386‑5559

Loyal, dependable and all around «ideal» Taxi Service for The Lake! (Read even the not recommended reviews… people have taken the time to write a review when they rarely do and it doesn’t get posted because they rarely care enough to do so so the system kicks it out).
How many times have you been stuck on a holiday weekend unable to get a cab?
Is it snowing and you just want to get home or did the sun and the beauty and fun of the Lake’s offering plus a cocktail or two, too many … make it «TIME TO GO!» Or how about screaming kids, any time, any place and you need a ride, now.
Luckily, this Taxi Service runs like a business that prides itself on service and safety and gets you home — or at least they did for me.
I found the service dependable and ORGANIZED… like you ought to be on a holiday when the cab drops you off, they should ask if you thought about when you will want to come home and then schedules your pick up or made a plan to figure out if a time frame would work. Trust me — one time this driver made it work for me and a number of others on a holiday night! This service taught me that it pays to have a pick up plan before you get dropped off but don’t take advantage and reserve the time if you don’t use it. (Policies may have changed and they may want a deposit or something in case people abused the system, hopefully not).
They never left me stranded when we made arrangements and always got me to where I needed to be on time… Including my return trip home which I would have missed had they not been such a tremendous help!
Loyalty pays, though, so be good to the drivers and they will be more than good to you back. Meaning don’t stiff the driver, don’t be rude, if you are going to get sick, say something so you can pull over, and all the other standard etiquette of «Tahoe Taxi Courtesy».

The best! Seriously if you’re in Lake Tahoe you have to use this service. We found cabs were unreliable up here but she just absolutely blew us away. So fun and so nice and accommodating. Highly highly recommend Tahoe taxi express. She’s is always around Tahoe city and even took us to Reno for our flight. Super affordable and made us feel like we had our own personal limo service. Awesome North Lake Tahoe cab !
