I really like their service. Their food is also great. Portions are big and quality is really good. It pretty much gives me the authentic Italian experience. The atmosphere is also acceptable.

We went to Maggianos for our anniversary recently. We got done our errands early and were an hour early for our reservation. The manager seated us right away and our waitress was more than hospitable. The chef came out to introduce himself and to personally ask if we enjoyed our meals. He even sent out a cookie tray with congratulations written in chocolate! This restaurant made our anniversary dinner better than we could of expected. Well done!

oh, that’s a factory not a restaurant, and definitely not my type of food. Too much sauce, too heavy.

I have 1 thing to say before I continue… make a reservation! This place is packed regardless of what day it is. My girlfriend and I went here recently and other than it being packed, we had a lovely experience. We arrived early and actually got to sit down in a upstairs lounging area which was actually very comfortable. Our buzzer went off and were seated maybe 10 minutes after our reservation. All though our waitress was nice, she was extremely busy. I just wouldn’t expect a lot of 1 on 1 time with whomever is waiting on you. The food was fantastic! The bread, appetizers, and entrees were all fantastic and the bill was even better. This place is very reasonably priced for what you get. As long as you don’t order alcohol, you’re looking at a reasonable bill and fantastic food. What we took home was just as good 2 days later. I would definitely recommend Maggiano’s for a nice date night and even for larger parties. Once you’re seated, you aren’t waiting long at all. Just make a reservation!

I will preface this by saying I’m as Italian as a Chevrolet. My palate wasn’t raised by a sweet little Italian grandmother with generations of cooking experience passed down to to her and kept locked in her bosom. If anything, I was raised by Grandmother Francesco Rinaldi and her friend Chef Boyardee. So, I will defer all judgements on this establishment to those who are more«in the family». There are many things I am a self-proclaimed expert on– just ask my wife– but on the subject of authentic Italian food, I will defer as necessary. That said, I like Maggiano“s. My first taste was at the Center City location-a prime location near the Philly Car Show– and the KofP location is much more grandiose. During both KofP visits– one during peak, and today, at 3PM– we were seated immediately, and today, we had exceptional service by our waiter Jay. He made«adjustments» to our orders, joked with our kids, and kept the drinks filled and the table cleared… great service. The food– an appetizer of flatbread pizza, two lunch combos, and three pizzas for the kids– was right on point, at least as far as my Americanized tongue could discern. The atmosphere is semi-formal, but I’ve never felt under dressed. Prices are in the $ 13 – 20 range for most dishes. And bonus– if your order several of the pasta dishes, they box up a second order for you to take home with you! Not bad! For a chain restaurant, I’m ok with Maggiano’s. It’s a square meal, pretty decent on the price point, and some degree of atmosphere to boot. The wife is also a fan, so I’m sure we will be back!

Still a solid option for your standard Italian fare, especially if you are in a pasta mood. We had the Marco’s Meal for Two and it is definitely enough food for at least 3 meals, with the take home pastas. The Taylor Street Ziti is always a tried-and-true classic and comes with a very generous portion of sausage in a robust, pomodoro sauce. The lasagna is also decent although the portion is definitely smaller. The chicken and roasted pepper flatbread was probably our favorite: flavorful and sweet balsamic glaze over a creamy sauce and chopped chicken breast, all on a thin slightly crispy flatbread. We also had the Chocolate Zucotto cake slice, which was delicious. Is it the best Italian in the area? Not quite but it’s the best CHAIN Italian in the Philadelphia area with comfortable yet bustling seating, good people-watching, along with friendly and fast service. be sure to make reservations on weekends or you will wait for well over an hour!

I try never to go to chain restaurants, and I also try never to go to malls, but we were staying with friends and wanted to go to the movies and headed to the King of Prussia mall. We stopped into Maggiano’s for lunch before the movie. They are not walking distance. We had to park twice. That mall is crazy busy and the traffic is intense, so leave plenty of time. We had a reservation. Really, a reservation for lunch. It was crowded. We were seated up in the mezzanine which was nice and a bit out of the crowd, but also a little cramped. The waiter was very friendly he brought bread and then he brought more bread when requested. There is olive oil and parmesan cheese on the table for dipping. We ordered the zucchini appetizer to share which was wonderful. The zucchini is cut in long strips and battered in a crispy cornmeal batter and then fried, but it was not greasy. There was an excellent buttermilk garlic dipping dressing. I had a tuscan white bean and sausage soup which was nice and a side spinach salad which had too much raw onion and was a bit over dressed. My husband had the gnocchi with sausage which disappointingly did not arrive hot.

Have only been there a few times, but it never disappoints. We were most recently there for New Years Eve and previously made a reservation for 9:00. When we got there, there was a wait. I was a little annoyed seeing as how we made a reservation, but I understood it was a busy night. When we were seated our service was outstanding. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure we always had everything we needed. For a chain, if you love pasta you can’t go wrong here, everything we have ever ordered was great and we will keep going back.

Pretty good italian food for a chain. Big portions. Decent wine list. Service has always been excellent. Do NOT get their«Take home» menu. Salty, awful, pre-packaged mess. But, for lunch or dinner at the restaurant, Maggiano’s is a great place. They also have a pretty good set up for big parties/private rooms.

Whenever I go to Maggiano’s, I always get pretty great customer service. However, I’m just not the biggest fan of their food. Although their portions are HUGE and they offer some amazing deals [buy one meal, get one to take home], I’ve found many of their entrees to be… too rich. Don’t get me wrong — I like Italian food, but Maggiano’s tends to be on the heavy and greasy side, which is fitting for a chain. If you have a sensitive stomach, make sure to grab the Pepto before heading to Magiannos, and don’t order more than one or two apps. You will be stuffed beyond contemplation! I love their tomato capresse, which is one of the healthiest apps on the menu, but it’s unfairly priced at almost 10 bucks a pop for such a tiny portion. I found their mushroom ravioli plate to be so disgustingly cheesy and rich that after only a few bites, I was ready to throw down my fork and call it quits. The take-home menu is a hit or a miss, and on one occasion that I ordered a take-home meal I was very disappointed with the messy, soggy quality of my pasta. For a chain, this place can get astoundingly packed and LOUD. Be aware of this if you have anxiety about large, crowded restaurants.

Gluttonous amounts of mediocre food served in a loud, crowded, open space. It’s at the Mall. Not a great environment.

I loved Maggiano’s on Chicago and now I love them in Scottsdale. I need to be gluten free and they are more than accomodating. If I need to ask any questions the chef will come out and explain the preperations. The portions are large and flavorfull. Rigatoni D is my favorite. All that I have tried are equally as good.

There’s a lot of good pasta dishes on the menu, but it’s hard to be mindful of what you eat here. Everything is drenched in sauce, so your choices are very limited if you don’t want to have a 1500 calorie meal. Other than pastas, everything is so boring. I got the lobster risotto fritters. It was the appetizer special of the night. It sounded interesting, but when I actually got it, it was just balls of fried risotto with a little piece of lobster in it. I dunno what I was really expecting, but this was not worth the 13 or whatever dollars it cost. I left two of them on my plate — it wasn’t worth the calories. I waited for like 30+ minutes for my entrée to follow. I was pretty sure they had forgotten about it until another waiter puts a huge plate with 3 small crab cakes in front of me. I’m feeling somewhere between Meh and Disappointed. It was not worth the wait, and the 30 minutes that passed was enough time for me to start craving the other food options in the area that I could have gone to. The crab cakes themselves were probably more breading than crab. Overall, I’m still hungry. More like hangry — hungry, and angry at myself for picking this place for dinner.

We ate here last weekend. The food is alway good! But the wait is ridiculous. We met up with a few friends, we had 630 reservations, we weren’t sat until 715. Great food as always. Pros Food Service Price Cons Wait! Parking!

Really 3.5 stars. Perhaps it would have been a full 4 stars if we came at a less busy time(is there such thing at this location?) and if the service was better. I will return for sure though. We really enjoyed our meal and our evening, despite the painfully slow and scatterbrained service, which resulted in us being there for close to 3 hours. Dined with a party of 7 for an 8:15pm reservation. Valet was easy. No dings in my car :) We were sat on time — thankfully at a ample round table. I was thankful for a round table, makes for easier conversation/eye contact with everyone in the party. My bf and I were treating his parents(and family) for their just passed and upcoming birthday’s! We sat though, for close to 20 minutes before getting the entire tables water filled. Oddly, two glasses had water filled, the rest did not. We waited, watched servers and bus boys and food runners buzz past us. No acknowledgement. Guessing it was a food runner who came by and filled the rest of the water glasses and dropped off a basket of bread. Didn’t say anything to us and was gone in a flash before we could ask if he was our server. We had all picked what we wanted as a starter, main course, dessert, and drinks by the time our server came to us. We ordered all at once. Thankfully the drinks came quickly, wine, mixed drinks, and soft drinks all around. Our flat bread starter was very good, the sausage had just the right savory spice to it. Our meals followed in timely fashion. Chicken parm x3 — the portions were great with the sides of pasta. Lasagna for the bf — big portion as well, half to take home. He got the spaghetti and meatball as the complimentary take home. Spaghetti and meatballs x2 — again big portion with a huge meatball. They both got the same as their take away complimentary. Lobster Carbonara for me — was not salty to me as some said in their reviews. I enjoyed it. However, not true carbonara, it wasn’t velvety and I doubt it really was egg, no traces of black pepper, and the bacon was thin breakfast bacon. However there was a lot of lobster and the flavor was good. I’d order it again. My tip for those that might find it a bit salty, ask for the grated parm on the side. It came with a layer of fresh grated parm on top which I’m sure is the culprit of the salty-ness for some. Portion was huge, ate as much as I possibly could and took the rest home.(reheated surprisingly well) Special pear pound cake and apple crostada for dessert — seriously delicious. The sample size of the apple dessert was adorable and the perfect 3 bites to end my meal. Since were were celebrating two birthdays, we got two complimentary plates of chocolate cake balls, they were delicious and a lovely touch. The price tag was big, the adult beverages added to that. Next time when I return, my bf and I plan to do the deal for 2 — reading over it, it seems like the best deal PLUS you get complimentary dish to go. I enjoyed my meal — however the service was totally lacking, we saw our server 3 times in the 3 hours we were there. We doubled up on drink orders because we knew she would be hard to find. We had to chase her down to pay our bill in the end too. So why not a 5 star place… I stress though that I did enjoy myself and my meal, as did my companions… –Chain italian food. Step up from Olive Garden. –It was super loud — I knew this going in but didn’t expect it to be THAT loud. We did have to yell a bit across the tables. It was disorienting at times. –Bathrooms on the 3rd floor only — I escorted granny up the elevator and surprised that there was only maybe 6 stalls with a long line. –Service was totally lacking and painfully slow, she seemed confused and frazzled most of the night –The mixed drinks were watered down. The long island ice tea was just terrible, isn’t that a basic??? Stick to wine for your buck.

On our way back to Philly(from Lancaster) we decided to make a last minute reservation to Maggianos and I am so glad that we did. We were seated on time and taken to the upstairs area overlooking the main dining room. Note to readers, don’t come here if you are looking to have a quiet dinner. This place is very energetic and I had to speak quite loudly for the waiter to hear me. I am not complaining, as this is the exact way I like my noise in a restaurant. For dinner, we started with the fried mozzarella(yummy, but each piece is the size of a deck of cards and there are 6 pieces). After the mozzarella, we had the caesar salad which was soo good and definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. For out entrees, I had the balsamic salmon which was served with asparagus and my husband had the kc carbonara(hold the pancetta). We really enjoyed each meal, but we couldn’t finish, so we took it home. Our service was excellent and I left, a happy customer.

Came here with my parents and aunt yesterday for a late graduation dinner. We had a 4:45 reservation and even though that’s seemingly early, the restaurant was packed. The only downside to this was that it was pretty loud in the dining room. Our waiter was prompt and friendly. The white sangria is pretty good! It’s perfect for the summer. We started with the crab and asparagus bruschetta and the mussels fra diavolo. The bruschetta was good, but the mussels were delicious! The sauce was out of this world and there were a lot of mussels for the price. My aunt and I decided to get the dinner for 2 for 39.99. This includes salads or a flatbread to share, 2 classic pastas, two more classic pastas, and a dessert to share. We opted for salads since we were already sharing appetizers with the table. I had the Maggiano’s salad, it was super yummy. The portion was also huge for a side salad, I was able to bring half of it home. For my eat in entrée I got the eggplant parm. It was decent. The portion was very large and I was able to take half of that home as well. My dad got the lobster carbonara and my mom got the chicken saltenbruca. Both were tasty! They were able to bring half of their meals home as well, portions are that big! We also got butter cake and spumoni to share for dessert. Again, huge portions. We took half of the butter cake home. Our waiter also brought out lemon cookies with a candle because we were celebrating a graduation. It was a nice touch. While this might not be the best Italian food I’ve ever had, it’s certainly good and even better considering the price. I want to go back and try the family style option!

While I wouldn’t typically pick a chain Italian restaurant for personal dining, I find that Maggiano’s tends to be a good place for large group dining. So often large group dining can mean buffets. While they do offer a buffet for groups that prefer it, their family style offerings are another great option. The family style offering is also better for portion control. I always feel I fill my plate too much with buffets. While I think most packages allow for food refills, I’ve found most times people just eat the original portions served and are more respectful of how much they take since you are sharing with a table. They have a lot of crowd pleasing options. At my recent dinner, appetizers consisted of two salads(Caesar and Maggiano’s), fried calamari and bruschetta. We also received flowing basket of rolls. For our entrees we had mushroom ravioli, ziti, chicken piccata and a salmon dish. For dessert we had pound cake and tiramisu. Nothing was standout but everything was definitely enjoyable. The portions were plentiful and we still even could have asked for more. No one left hungry and everyone seemed happy. I’ve found these events are usually staffed pretty well and we get courteous, attentive servers. The atmosphere is a little cheesy, but it does have a nice old Italian décor. This is going to sound odd, but I really like how the bathrooms are decorated. Dark with pretty flowers and china-like wall hangings. The King of Prussia location is particularly good for a large group outside the city. There’s ample parking and the mall is right there. Definitely a win in my book for groups.
