3 years after the previous reviewer and it seems the atmosphere hasn’t changed much. Every year, around this time, I buy my grandmother and my sister(who are both plus sized) presents. Although I passed about 4 employees on my way in, not a single one acknowledged me until I hit the back of the store. Even then, when I mentioned I was looking for button down blouses that weren’t 100% cotton, she was like«For???» Practically insinuating that I was in the wrong store. When I mentioned I was shopping for a plus sized family member I practically saw her breathe a sign of relief. I think when I need to get something for my family members, I’ll purchase online.

I wouldn’t shop here if it were the last place in Montgomery County to get decent plus sized clothes. It’s a shame because the woman who used to be the store manager was great and always had her associates helping everyone with their needs. I most recently shopped here in January after going to lunch at the mall and seeing some items I wanted on Clearance. The gentleman I spoke with said to definitely come back for some great deals. So I did — big mistake. Going over to the racks, I started finding items I liked until I found a pair of jeans. For some reason, Lane Bryant has taken it upon themselves to use single numbers for jeans instead of just using the standard sizes. Talk about confusing. I had asked a sales associate if they could tell me what size the jeans I had in my hands were equivilant to and she snapped at me, saying those weren’t my size. I was floored — I didn’t ask if they were my size, I asked what size they were in regular people terminology. So I asked another girl if she could tell me and she said I would have to be measured, so I asked if she could kindly do that. She rolled her eyes and went to get a measuring tape. I mean — come on, if you don’t like your job, then quit! Go do something else — I just don’t get people in customer service roles. Why do you do them if you don’t want to service the public? It’s part of her job, it’s not like I was asking her to donate a kidney. After getting fitted for the jeans, I tried items on and went to pay. I stood there for FIFTEENMINUTES until someone came to ask if I was ready to check out. I’m not kidding you. FIFTEEN minutes. Several associates walked by the front register but were too busy talking about who they were getting their freak on with last night to bother asking if I was ready. The girl who finally did ring me out started to give me an issue with one of the items I had questioned for the price. The label said one thing, the computer spit out another. When I brought over four other blouses, all the same with the same labels and dollar amounts, she hemmed and hawed saying she had to get an override. When I finally paid 10 minutes later, I looked at the girl and said«See my face. You’ll never see me in here again.» And trust me, you won’t. I work too hard for my money to give it to a company who employees people who don’t care about their customers.
