Absolutely love this place! As a single mother, their dollar day sales have been beyond helpful. Cookie is amazing. When they have their play time/​story time it gives mothers and children a chance to socialize..

I feel like I was misled by reviews. I drove out of my way because this place was deemed amazing by many and my son needed some jammies. The lady was very friendly and it being a consignment shop I understand what they have may not be consistent with my needs. The place looked messy and disorganized and the amount of used toys made it look a little dirty. I might have come with high expectations based on reviews and other shops I’ve been in.

Great establishment! I always find what I need, and I feel that I can trust the quality and cleanliness of the items. The owner is extremely sweet and friendly. This is definitely a store I have been telling all of my friends to support!

I bought and sold things from this consignment store. I would recommend taking their store credit than cash since you would usually get double the amount if you choose store credit. I’ve took the cash and store credit on two different occasions. I will definitely be back again for buying and selling any baby related items.

I’m sorry to hear about your displeasure in your experience at the store. I am the one you spoke with over the phone and the one you saw the next day. Because this is the first I’m hearing about your feeling «ripped off» I’m surprised and somewhat caught off guard. At the store, I explained our policy and you seemed to understand the policy… before any transaction ever took place. The store has a no refund policy, which is on our Facebook page as well as posted just before walking in the store. So because there are no traditional refunds at the store, there are no traditional «swaps». And because of this, I cannot give trade or swap an item outright. You have to sell it back to the store. I explained this to you then. I would have been happy to explain it further if I had known you were this unhappy and felt ripped off. This is how a consignment/​resale store differs from a regular retail store.
Our clothing is modestly priced between $.99 — $ 9.99. I’m trying to figure out how we’re «way overpriced». Yes, the clothing we sell is gently used, but buying a pair of Children’s Place jeans here is cheaper than a #4 at McDonalds.
And we do LOVE the Military, (Military Owned) which is why we’re one of the few businesses that offer a Military Discount to soldiers and their dependents, which I believe you got. I’ve noticed that most businesses around town don’t do a Military Discount. This started back in October of 2012 and we’ve gotten a good response from it, as the previous owners did not offer this discount.
I’m sorry to that you feel like you were ripped off Bridgette. That’s never been our intent, ever. This is procedure for a situation like the one you had, which doesn’t happen often. But if you would have expressed the SLIGHTEST displeasure or anything along those lines, I would have done what I could to make you happy then. Simple as that. But you didn’t. I explained what our policy is, you SEEMED to understand it, you made your purchase and you left. All this could have never happened if I would have known you were this unhappy about this experience. My apologies and I wish I would have had the chance to make it right.

The owner of Storkdaddy’s is a really nice guy. I come in often enough that I feel like he is a friend now. Chris, the owner, is always really fair with me and his pricing. Besides storkdaddy’s I also like Once Upon a Child, but the closest one is Round Rock (45minute drive) and the past few months they just haven’t had a decent inventory.
