Owned and operated locally owned by Ray Constancio a native of Texas. I was born and raised in Texas, attended Harker Heights Elementary, Manor Middle School and graduated from Killeen High. I took an interest in the automotive industry at an early age. Continued my education at CCTT in Austin Texas and opened Ray’s Certified mechanics in 2004. I love what i do. It’s all about fixing vehicles and making the customer feel comfortable bring their vehicle to us. I stand behind our work. A Technician, turning wrenches for a living.

At Ray’s Certified Mechanics there is no repair that can not be fixed. We specialize in everything from domestic, imports, gasoline or diesel. We can repair them all!

I used to come here a lot, before they started the sales lot. Ray used to be personally involved, and they were courteous and nice. I don’t know what happened, but. I called today, said.“Can I bring in my car to be looked at Wednesday”? I got an «Uh huh.» And??? ok, so I ask «What time»? The dude says-«Well, we open at 8», in some kind of tone that made me angry. He didn’t ask what is wrong with car, what kind of car, nothing. I guess they don’t need any more business, so I’ll go elsewhere. I’ve been having my doubts about Rays the last few times I’ve taken cars there, I’m loyal to an extent, and I used to have good experiences there. The things were always fixed correctly at a reasonable price. Lately, though, I’ve started to feel ripped off-​no matter what you take your car in for-it’s over a thousand dollars. The guy in the office seems slimy, and a tad rude. The mechanics are still nice, but seem. sheepish, like they know something is going on with this business. Ray is nowhere around. I’m going to move on.

If I could give this a zero «do not go to ever rating» I would. This guy is a complete scam artist. He took my sons $ 1200 and sold him his first car. Turns out it needs a new engine he knew exactly what he was doing. I will not only be posting reviews about him and his company but going to the Better Business Bureau. Stay clear!!!

This place is awful. They do the prototypical mechanic’s trick: when a customer come in with car troubles, they bring you back a list of things. It almost as if they guess at what’s wrong. I spent over $ 1200 and still left the shop with my car on a tow truck. Awful!

This place is a lil shady on how they do business. I wanted to get an oil change and was quoted $ 20 per quart. I was ok with it and told them to go ahead with the oil change. I was thinking it would cost me about $ 100. The price then went up to $ 160 after labor, tax, and oil filter. This is ridiculous! Never going here again.

My rating? ZERO stars. I had to bring in my SUV for a new alternator and a weird sound coming from the back tire. They told me that my axle was broken, that the tire was completely shot, that the car was totally un-​driveable and that it would completely fall apart and cause a major accident if I were to try and drive it. They quoted me $ 1200 for parts and labor. I went to O’Reilly’s and they referred me to a different mechanic-​the cause of the sound was actually the bearing on the rear wheel. Parts and labor? $ 100. I would definitely save my money and not fall for these scamsters.

Ray Certified Mechanics is now my go to mechanic. I have been taking my cars to different mechanics all over town and getting the same results. The feeling of just being screwed! After using Ray’s Certified Mechanics the first time, where other mechanics said it was going to cost over 1500 and Ray did the work for 350. Yeah 350. Have not had any problems with that car since. Since then he has taken care of my family members, all with the same results. The way he runs his business is the way a business should be run. Honest!!!
