Really fantastic to be able to go to a locally owned gardening center that specializes in organic, non-GMO plants and seeds. Their organic potting soil is amazing and I can’t wait to try out their compost tea once my seedlings sprout this spring. Very knowledgable and(mostly) friendly staff who are willing to answer odd and random questions about weird bugs and worms. Great to have a neighborhood garden center!

Quality plants! Much better than the plants at the large home improvement stores!

My review is mixed because of two disparate experiences. I am a novice to gardening, and went here to buy climbing roses. The young man I spoke to the first time was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and polite. They promote organic gardening, which I respect, but I had already used commercial miracle gro for other plants I had and when I asked for tips on what to do, the man told me to go ahead and follow what was recommended, as for organic gardening they would rely mainly on compost and natural products. He was not snooty or snobbish when he said that. Now on my second trip to Oma’s it was an elderly woman who was there, maybe she was Oma herself, I dont know. She seemed standoffish, and I was lectured sternly about Miracle Gro and gardening with synthetic products. I asked simple questions about how to care for my purchase, and although she answered them the tone seemed to be like«yeah, duh…». I found myself submissively agreeing to purchase Rose Magic, which on my research now does seem to be a good product, but I felt that I bought it out of guilt because I was scolded. Although I did learn from her and defer to her knowledge and experience, I was really put off by her attitude. I may still choose to go back, because they seem to be very knowledgeable about what they do, but hope that they can be more consistent with their customer service.
