I have never been a fan of pawn shops but I’ll give it to this one, when it comes to size, it certainly doesn’t lack. There are a lot of firearms to choose from. I was more intrigued with what they had in their glass counters. Odd knives & handcuffs. The handcuffs were tugging at my heart so that’s what I ended up purchasing. No, they are not the plastic ones you purchase at little adult stores. These are the real deal. Now I will not get into detail with what they are for. Let’s get back to the store. If I’m not mistaken, I also saw saddles but as you can see, I was set on the toys towards the rear of the store. I’m glad my friend’s dragged me here. I was not disappointed.

I have been in here twice and both times found them to lack any customer service and to be very overpriced for a pawn shop. I make a trip to Killeen every couple months just to visit the pawn shops because they tend to be cheaper then where I live. This one is not and much of their stuff is junk. I did find a radio I wanted to buy only to discover it was on the shelf but not available yet — it had to wait out the holding period for the person that pawned it but you could put it on «layaway» — I don’t think so I wanted it then. I did look at other items there but honestly it was so big it was like being at a regular store but with used stuff that might be in decent condition. I looked at guns because I want a hand gun but they are over priced even compared to Cabela’s which is sad. I suggest you avoid here and go to the smaller Pawn Shops they are all up this one road with the exception of a smattering of ones elsewhere. Happy Hunting!

Service is terrible. Waited in line behind 8 people for 15 minutes. Line never moved. 5 employees minimum standing around with nothing to do and only a single cashier. Horrific service. Ended up just leaving with others and not buying a thing. Nobody noticed.

I have made a few purchases from here, never had a problem with anything after I got it home. I went in today to pick up some movies. One of the employees was talking to the manager and one of them said something about booty very loudly infront of he customers. I found that to be very unprofessional. When I went to check out there was one register open for purchases. There was one person in front of me. I waited in line for a little over 5 minutes while she helped the person infront of me. Then I heard the cashier ask someone where this man’s layaway item was. After that I put my stuff down and left. They should have had more than one register open or open one to help other people while taking a long time to help the other customer. For good customer service every customer should be a priority. You shouldn’t have other employees that could be helping people just standing around until someone tells them what to do.

Terrible customer service! It took a lady about ten minutes to tell me I was in the wrong line, then I went to the right one and a different lady was open she didn’t even look at me and walked away. So I asked a guy that was walking by if he was a manager he said Nope patted my shoulder then kept walking. I mean hello, maybe you could’ve asked if there was something I needed help with. Jeez, I did talk to a manager who took my complaint and apologized which was nice(the lady that was open was back still not acknowledging me) and the manager had to tell her to help me since she obviously wasn’t paying attention.

New Years Eve 5pm. I’ve been waiting almost half an hour in the gun section while tall, paunchy, balding, goatee guy slowly tinkers with a customer’s handgun. He’s looking around for parts, chatting, googling how to fix the problem. All I want is a magazine behind the glass case. It’ll take you two minutes to take it out from behind the glass, charge me, and send me on my way so that you can continue tinkering with the gun. I’m the only other customer. I know you see me waiting patiently, you’ve made eye contact once or twice. But you haven’t once asked if you could help me, or if I could please wait while you help this customer. You don’t even acknowledge me. I know you see me, because you’ve met my eye contact a couple times, but no help. After 20 minutes I start getting fidgety and irritated. After half an hour of waiting for goatee to help me out, I say fine. Not everyone can multitask, and helping not one, but TWO whole customers can overwhelm some people, so I decide to go ask someone up front for help. Run into some other middle aged sad sack employee, hoping he could lend a hand. «The guy in the gun section seems busy, I just need to buy a magazine in the glass case, was wondering if you could help me.» Rather than help his coworker, or even just tell me, sorry, that’s not my section, the jerk makes a face and starts listing the reasons why he WON’T help me. «I don’t work back there. I don’t have the keys. I-» That was all I had to hear. I took off to buy what I needed somewhere else. Aside from crappy customer service, this place’s prices are beyond ridiculous. They sell worn out garbage at the brand new price. Sometimes more than the new price. No exaggeration. I saw a used rifle there for 850 + tax, bought a newer version of the same rifle brand new at the PX for 900 flat. It’s bold to sell something used and abused at the prices they try to sell them at. But to couple ridiculous pricing with such rude customer service? The owners of Action Pawn should thank God every night for privates in the US Army for keeping them in business. I don’t go on Unilocal to leave negative reviews but this place is astonishingly bad. Don’t shop here. Go buy it new for cheaper, or shop on Amazon.

I’m only giving this place 2 stars because of the selection, if I could give it stars based off service I would give 1. Everything is waaaay over priced(might as well spend a little more and buy new) and they do not negotiate very well. I wanted a steam mop which they had 4 already in stock, why not make a good deal to move them off the shelf? And the manager wouldn’t even come talk to me, he had his employee run back and forth to me with this«deal» Uh, no thanks! Not sure if it was because I am a girl, or They just aren’t into that kind of thing. Which is weird because it’s such a large pawn shop. I’ll gladly go to another pawn shop and get good service and a good deal.

Ok so after breakfast my boss took us here. He was stationed here in 1996 and said this spot was one of the best pawn shops to buy any and everything. We walked in and it was kind of like a walmart. Some of the items look like new and you could get at walmart. They had a few good deals but we spent 1hr in here looking around. What caught my attention was that they advertised on their sign in the parking lot they had 2AR-15 in stock and .223÷5.56 ammo in stock well why not right. So we found their ammo and I understood why they had the ammo in stock the price was redic. I mean for what they were asking it averaged out to about $ 1.08 a round. I went to walmart the night before and the ammo was 3times less. So i look at their gun selection and they have a lot of really good handguns and rifles. I looked at their gun parts and other items for sell. But going thru all the items I notice a lot or miss labeled. Parts for a Ruger 10⁄22 is labeled for a Mini 30. Some parts are incomplete so yah little mess. Employees were really helpful and greeted us and helped us on the spot. But wasn’t really empressed at all.

Welcome to Killeen’s biggest pawn shop. Motorcycles, boats, and fully assembled deer stands adorn the interior. Stereo stuff takes up an entire aisle, 20 foot wall display case of cameras, GPS, phones, and camcorders. Rims galore! Another case with tablets and sunglasses; a complete car audio section. Jewelry selections are endless which the wife liked; decent selection of high end watches for me. We found a good price on a diamond ring for $ 500, most of the small diamonds were clear while the center stone had a huge chunk of carbon inside. Nice, but not nice enough for the price. The gun department has close to 500 examples. Yep, this is a military town! I’ve recently found myself looking at different handguns, excellent selection thats thoughtfully displayed with the calibers listed by section. A Desert Eagle used will set you back around $ 900 here; though thats a bit large for my taste. Tools, sporting goods, and music equipment round out the rest of the merchandise. Honestly, for me a true pawn review details the employees and their ability to haggle. I asked for the best price on a certain watch, they didn’t budge a dollar. Really, you have a profit margin and most of your merchandise has a plenty of padding. If you make the customer feel at least for a moment that they can get a deal, the pawn shop wins. For this Action Pawn, you feel the opposite. Sure, its less than retail but not by much. I’ll spend a tad bit more to get a warranty, make it worth my time to take the risk and buy with a small return period.
