History

Established in 2009.

We are a husband and wife photography team, and we love what we do!

Sarah grew up on the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina, in Kitty Hawk, and Terry re-​located to the Outer Banks in 2004. We met in 2006, married in 2007, and proceeded to move to Florida. We spent just over 4 years in Florida, during which Terry decided to take his love for photography to the next level. He started Terry Kyle Photography and had a blast working with clients and learning new skills.

After tagging along as a second shooter for a wedding, Sarah took the best photo of the day and was hooked! When we decided to move back to the Outer Banks in early 2012 we decided it was time for a name change. We then launched Terry & Sarah Photography and we love capturing photos for both portrait and wedding photography back on our beautiful OBX!

We take great pride in our work, always striving to improve ourselves while making our clients happy. And we love a little friendly competition between ourselves to see

Terry and Sarah were not only our photographers for our wedding, but our friends! They are so fun to work with and do wonderful work! They give suggestions of what shots to do and are open to the clients suggestions as well. They are very personable and are so easy to communicate with. They are very flexible and are willing to work with their clients as best as possible. I told them what was important to me (shot wise) and they got those shots for my husband and I at the wedding as well as the engagement shoot.
They even referenced my Pinterest board at the wedding for ideas and made them come to life, which was amazing! They provide plenty of pictures also, some highly edited and some slightly edited… Either way, they were beautiful and we certainly had plenty to pick from!
You should not be on the fence of whether or not to use Terry and Sarah. I have not experienced or seen any negative feedback from anyone who has utilized their photography services… They really are great and remember that it helps to get to know them by doing an engagement or bridal shoot before the wedding so that you’re 100% comfortable with them come the big day!

Terry & Sarah are awesome! My husband and I had an intimate (just us!) ceremony at the Sanderling Resort in Duck and only needed a small photo package. They were more than happy to shoot for one hour and gave us a great price. Sarah was so fun to work with and made us very comfortable having our pictures taken. She also suggested wonderful poses and the shots turned out beautifully! I highly recommend them!
