History

Established in 1987.

Outer Banks Heating & Cooling was started by Brian & Tom McDonald. Their goal in the beginning was to provide their clients with quality service and quality products, installed as if it were their own homes.

With over 4,800 new systems installed in Dare and Currituck counties the staff has done an admirable job in providing top quality service and installations.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Brian McDonald is the owner and general manager of Outer Banks Heating & Cooling. He is state licensed for both residential and commercial HVAC work as well as commercial refrigeration. Brian holds many certifications for the industry including geothermal, building performace and home and commercial air balancing.

He started the business in 1987 and like a lot of small businesses began working from a small office space with minimum warehouse space. Today the business employs over 20 people and has 1600 square feet of office and training space and over 6000 square feet of warehouse and fabrication space.

Brian enjoys helping his employees help their clients to be more comfortable in their homes and save energy.

In his spare time he enjoys playing golf and traveling.
