What a great way to warm up on a cold winter’s eve. Comfort food, a great burger(made your way) with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, jalapeño, with chipotle mayo on a chipotle bun wit a side of sweet potato fries. The only thing better is that they also have a pretty good assortment of beer. The staff is always kind and the food hot and fresh.

0 stars and that is being generous Food on the floor, dirty tables. Food came out cold. Looked like place hadn’t been cleaned in a week. Will never go back.

Came in on Saturday December 5th, around 4:15 pm. Waited 5 minutes before leaving because no one was there to take my order. The cooks were there though, great job hiring by the way, profanity is perfect for a business setting. Went to 5 Guys, prompt service, great food, and you don’t have to pay for extra for the fries. Get your act together, you glorified McDonalds.

So I am still on my burger quest for Unilocal.I’ve had Smashburger a few times over the years and remember it as being ok. I hit it again the other day having a bacon cheeseburger w/fries and a coke. It hit just under $ 12. The burger here is $ 6+ putting its price above M Burger and 5 Guys for a single w/bacon(5 Guys might be close). Fries are $ 2, and $ 2 for the drink. I think the burger here is good, the toppings are minimal, tomato and lettuce are not standard on this one. Pickles, onion, mustard are the flavors that come thru giving a strong flavor profile. The fries are fresh cut & shoestring like, similar to Steak & Shake but better. I just like eating them… The pricing is higher here but they use wire trays, plastic cups, and clear the table for you. It’s just a bit nicer than the other burger joints, more of a diner feeling. Is it worth the extra dollar or two… that’s up to you…

This was my first time visiting a Smashburger, mainly because I gravitate to places where they’re not afraid to grill beef to medium-rare or even rare if it’s a high quality steak burger(see Stoney River up the road). I was greeted enthusiastically by Agustin, and his customer service made my day that much more OUT-freaking-STANDING! He didn’t rush me, and based on my choices of toppings made great suggestions for additional items. The burger was very good, nothing life changing, but definitely enjoyable and a great value! It was moist, well-seasoned, and the toppings were crisp and fresh. I didn’t get any sides or a shake, and I guess with those additions the price tag could go skywards real quick. But if it’s astronomically better than drive-through fare, you should expect to pay more that $ 6 for a great meal. Looking forward to visiting again, with folks like Agustin making the experience that much better.

My boyfriend took me to this location for my first Smashburger experience. He really enjoyed his black bean burger(and I love that they have this option). I really liked my burger(don’t remember what I got), I thought it was yummy and delicious. I ordered with fries, and I had plenty of fries left over that I made my boyfriend eat, haha. Between my boyfriend and I, one of us got Smashfries, and one got regular. While my boyfriend can tell the difference and likes the Smashfries, I don’t think my sense of smell/taste buds are sensitive enough to tell the difference. To clarify, I found them both delicious… I just didn’t really tell a difference.

Well, the food is tasty but expensive. And the calories! OMG – what are they thinking having a kid’s burger come in at 520? Nothing seems to be available, even on the kids menu at under 400. And for me, with those being the only options I will never go back.

Man I have been wanting to try smashburger but my first experience here today was NOT what I was expecting. The price here are actually better than most burger joints you can get a burger starting at $ 4.99 and only goes up to around $ 6.99. A regular fries is $ 1.99. I ordered the avocao ranch blackbean burger and it was the worst veggie burger I had ever had. And let me just say that I eat A LOT Of veggie burgers. The black bean patty was so dry I could not eat it without choking. The burger was way off balance. Also where was the ranch because I did not taste any??? The fries were good, thin, but honestly anything fried can’t possibly taste bad unless something had gone terribly wrong. Decent staff, shakes are $ 3.99 if you just want vanilla, strawberry or chocolate, any fancier flavor it goes up to $ 4.29. Ample seating, hardly anyone in the store on a Saturday at 11:45AM, just me and 2 other tables. Clean interior and clean bathrooms. But the food needs help. I did participate in a survey to come back for free fries within 30 days, so I might give this place another chance.

Costumer service was awesome! But the food… ugh I got the classic smash burger. It left me wishing I had gotten the avacado chicken burger. The smash fries were thin and nothing to be desired. The worst part was the fried pickles. Nasty, they were barely breaded and we’re soaked in salt. The bun was great though even though it felt a bit damp.

I’ve eaten at this location three times, and each time the food was just okay, nothing spectacular. The first time was over a year ago, and we got some food to go. Totally made us sick — heavy and greasy. I thought it may have been because of the travel time, so a year later we tried it again. The second time, brought the family and everyone had a decent time. It wasn’t busy, we had the place to ourselves. They have gluten free buns, which is a plus since I am gluten intolerant. Which leads to… The third visit — I brought my 3 year old tonight for a mommy-son date. While the food was the same(just okay… nothing great), the service tonight was horrible. It was an early Saturday evening, when I would expect a place would be on top of things more. The girl running the register couldn’t get the registers to work when we arrived, then finally after standing around with no explanation for us, she got it to work. My son and I sat in a booth that was located where we could see the kitchen. The kitchen staff was obnoxious — swearing, laughing loudly, one cook even threw a french fry through the window at the person who was serving food to tables. Not cool. The manager on the scene(not sure if he was the owner or just the manager), Terry, was not doing anything about the problems I could see happening. He just walked around on his cell phone now and then, pulled one of the kitchen staff out to help serve because the two girls up front were overwhelmed with taking orders and making shakes? There was a point when my son and I were eating when every open table was dirty and customers couldn’t find a place to sit while waiting for food — and the restuarant was not packed… just dirty and neglected. Food all over the floors from prior guests, tables loaded with trays and cups. Gross. I’m not sure I will go back to this location after this experience. If the kitchen staff acts this way right in front of customers, what are they doing to my food behind the scenes? No thanks!

Since I’ve cut out many meats, burger joints have been off my list for a while. After talking with a fellow burger-loving Unilocaler, though, he mentioned that many locations have veggie options. Oh? Knowing I’d really PREFER not to go home and cook, I swung by Smashburger on my way home tonight. I ordered the Avocado Ranch Black Bean Burger, fries, and water = ~$ 8.50. Now, even though fries are probably one of my favorite foods, I’m not a fry snob by any means. These fries were so oily and greasy, I could feel my lovehandles expanding with each bite. Eww. I tossed most of them. The burger looked appetizing, but left much to be desired: the patty was a big hunk o’ black bean with no other discernible flavor. It would have been a thousand times better if there were spices, onions, or other veggies/veggie proteins. It seemed like the Smashburger folks were counting on the avocado and ranch(ehrm, tasted like fat-free) to doll it up, but IMO the ranch was way gross and made for a poor flavor combination. I really expected more from a $ 6 burger, but in actuality my mushy black bean + sweet potato + quinoa burgers at home were much more flavorful! I guess it just means, unless I’m eating at home, I’ll have to keep hunting for an acceptable veggie burger!

The location is kind of hidden, as it is in a plaza with tons of available space for leasing. The food here is fresh, and made to order. That being said, I felt that the quality of the food has decreased from the last time I was at this location. The sandwich didn’t pack the flavor that I am used to. I can say that it wasn’t bad, but that is not good enough for smashburger, as they usually go above and beyond my expectations. I will probably go back again some time, but it is definitely not the first place that will come to mind when I want a quick bite to eat.

I have to give the management and staff some credit here. They really do check up on you to see how you’re doing. Maybe a little too much for me to have a peaceful meal but I’m quibbling over nothing here. They want input to see how they’re doing and I can’t fault them for that. Here’s what I did have a problem with, my cheeseburger was not very exciting. It was a little dry too. It made me wish for a Portillo’s burger while I sat there munching mechanically. It’s not good when you feel like you chose poorly. My sweet potato fries were the highlight of my meal but they also tasted slightly burnt. I do plan to give them another shot one of these days. Everyone gets an off day every now and then.

I have been eying Smashburger for a while, but I had heard it was a bit on the pricey side for a quick burger. When I saw the Groupon deal, $ 6 for $ 12 of food, I jumped on it. I went here for dinner with a friend. I ordered the chipotle burger without jalapenos. The cashier warned me that the chipotle bun and chipotle mayo does the trick for most people. I was glad I took her advice. My dinner date got her own burger and we split a side of fried pickles and sweet potato smash fries. I really liked the sweet potato smash fries, but the fried pickles were a little too greasy for my liking. The burger was done perfectly and definitely spicy(to the extent I like… the jalapenos would have been too much). We were able to devour everything. The service was friendly and came out to check on us to see how the food was. We also received the food very promptly. I would definitely go back here and I do not think it is too pricey for the the quality food and service you get!

Meh. It was ok. I didn’t think it was to die for or anything. First impression: Expensive! It was over $ 11 for my one meal which included: an All-American cheese-burger, the smash fries, and a chocolate shake. The guy that took my order was less than stoked to be there, and apparently he wasn’t in the mood for any humor. When I got my order the fries were like stale — it was like they’d been sitting out for hours under one of those stupid lamps. Are u Effing kidding me? For a nearly twelve dollar lunch? The fries seemed like if they were fresh and hot, they’d be really good. Not a lot of places have specialty fries, so these smash fries seem like they COULD be really good. The burger was ok — i really didn’t think it was anything too special. And the chocolate shake — same — mediocre. Ya know — I’d probably come back here if someone else wanted to come, but i wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, and probably won’t like crave it or anything.

Twas the night of 420, and all through the town, hippies were roaming, their feet were all brown! I certainly had the munchies, but weed I do not smoke, how am I going to eat tonight? My bank account was broke! Luckily I bought a Groupon, about a month ago today, $ 12 of food for $ 6, stuff my face I just may! I walked into Smashburger, with the smell of meat grilling, excitingly looking at the menu, and the meal I would soon be killing. I had the Classic Smash, with a chocolate milk shake, it was gone before I knew it, a single breath I did not take. A side of sweet potato fries, accompanied my meal, all in all I paid $.39, wow what a deal. My dignity gone, however my belly satisfied, I asked for the cashier’s number, and was quickly denied. Will I be back? Most certainly«yes,» as far as fast/casual burgers go, Smashburger is among the best.
