Maui Massage Spa

Consider my review edited — apparently this business doesn’t appreciate honest 5 star reviews. Can no longer recommend Maui Massage, which is too bad since the actual service I received was excellent.

Best massage I have had in a while. Holistic to an extent and medium pressure where needed. Hard to find so look for the snorkel bob’s and park there. No amenities there so don’t expect the spa treatment (we didn’t). Have a couples massage room if you like. Great service and very friendly and knowledgable staff and therapists. I would definitely go back!!! Great value!

Avoid! I went in for a prenatal massage just yesterday and it was horrible.
My husband and I called last minute per the weather to Michelle’s personal mobile massage services wanting to book a couples massage. She wanted to come to our hotel and was very persistent so we agreed to come to this spa (where she also works) given that it was so last minute.
I made sure to ask over the phone if they did prenatal massages (I am 6 months pregnant) and again when we arrived at the spa I asked the owner or receptionist again and she said that the Michelle would take care of me. (I should have known that after not receiving a straight YES answer to leave)
So during my supposed prenatal massage the masseur focused a lot on my spine (which you’re not supposed to) and near, and places where we’re not pleasurable until I simply said (it just doesn’t feel good)
We called this evening and spoke to the manager and she was not helpful. We asked to see the certification for prenatal and haven’t received any information yet. They made up some excuse. So if she massaged without her certification that would not be good. Hope they get back to me and will keep you posted on if they resolved this issue or not.
And to top it off once she finished she bluntly asked for a gratuity (if we thought you were good we would have tipped you)
Btw I AM SO SORE and hurt.

I just saw Michelle for a massage and foot scrub. She is one of the best massage therapists I have ever seen. She is extremely knowledgable and intuitive. I didn’t have to tell her which spots were sore, she knew exactly where to go. I like deep tissue and she worked wonders on my kinks and knots. She gave me great advice on how to handle my injuries I’ve sustained and informed me of how I can reduce my vulnerability of hurting. I cannot recommend her enough. She listens to what you have to say and makes sure you get what you knead (pun intended). I get massages regularly and I can say Michelle is one of the best masseuses I have ever had.
I also saw Jean earlier in the week. She stretched me out and loosened me up. I felt great after seeing her as well.
Diane, who is the manager is so sweet. The minute I walked in I felt comfortable and welcomed. Ladies, thank you for making my trip to maui a lovely and relaxing one.

Finally got a chance to make it back to the islands and visit my favorite massage therapist Robert (who used to work on me all the time here). He brought me in and showed me all the new techniques and practices that he has picked up from being o the islands. It was AMAZING. I’ve had a bad back for years and Robert is one of the only people I have used that knows exactly what hes doing, cares about the person he’s working on, as well as finds out where your problems are and works on those rather than just giving you the typical «60 minute massage». His use of hot rocks is to die for. You come in sore, down, in pain and leave feeling like a new person. I wish I were closer and could go more often. Will definately have to come back and visit again and again.

My boyfriend and I were interested in a couples massage, and we were able to get a last-​minute appointment here easily. The salon is very clean and the staff is friendly. If you are going for a couples massage, make sure to ask for the same room (or separate if you prefer), as we were expecting to be in the same room but wound up in separate ones. No biggie though! I got my massage from Robert, who was incredibly professional and WOW what amazing hands! I almost fell asleep during my massage because I was completely relaxed. Oh, and get the hot stone add on… You won’t be sorry! Perfect way to relax on our beach vacation!

Good Spa to get your massage done. $ 79 for hawaiian bliss massage. You have to pay $ 10 for hot stone. If you need you massage to be harder then pay another $ 10. I feel massage should be based on peoples choice (soft, medium, hard) and they shouldn’t be charging extra price for deep tissue. Anyways overall it was a good experience.

We booked a couples massage. Online it said $ 105 for a 90min massage but when I called she said it’s actually $ 125 but she would honor the $ 105 since it’s on the website. We decided to splurge and get a deep tissue for $ 20 per person more. My massage therapist was Mary and she was very friendly and really dug into my neck and back. It was awesome! My husband’s therapist was Jacob and my husband said he did a fantastic job as well that it made him feel super relaxed that he fell asleep.
As we were leaving and had to pay, the receptionist told me that they have a new system and they have to run my card three times once for the spa and once for each therapist. I didn’t really care just as long as I wasn’t charged more. She was really nice about it and gave us each complimentary loofah soaps (worth $ 8 each) for making us wait. Excellent customer service and great massages!

I loved the hot stone massage! My shoulder was very tense and omg I felt so good after… I would come back here again without any doubts! They were very friendly and informative. Thank you!

Walk-​ins welcome! I randomly decided to get a massage one morning and went in this place. I was on a table within 10 minutes. Rita was my massage therapist and she did amazing work. She was very focused and attentive to my needs for this session. I highly recommend her!

Jean was amazing! She really knows her stuff and my body feels 100 times better now. I called at 2, got an appt at 3, and walked across the street to their spa. Thank you!

I had a 75 min massage with Michelle and it was fabulous! Great techniques and pressure. Would totally recommend to anyone! Only thing that I have to complain about is the temperature, it was a pretty chilly room so when your skin is exposed and then add the cold oil, it was uncomfortable at the time.
Oh and reminding me of gratuity was a little tacky. I always tip based on service!

This place is great if you want a sports massage for pain. I got a 90 min deep tissue massage/​mini facial here. $ 130, plus $ 10 for deep tissue & $ 15 for hot stone add ons. Kind of pricy for a no frills place. The massage was good (I had goosebumps!) However the facial was basically a face wash. lol I recommend getting a 90 min massage & skipping the facial. Hearing the clock ticking during treatment was slightly annoying. My masseuse was worried I wouldn’t leave a tip & reminded me at the end. Geez she must have been burned in the past. Always tip your masseuse!

I had just moved to Maui (in May) and was looking for a place that had both massage and facials for a reasonable price — this is the place! Jackie, the owner, fit me in right away with Veronica. The staff is soooo nice and friendly, and was happy that I was there as a local. I got the combo massage/​facial, both by Veronica. It was great — she has a really nice touch and really relaxed me. The spa itself is quite quaint with only 3 or 4 rooms, but they are private and very comfortable. You can’t beat the price, and the service is outstanding. I cannot wait to go back! Don’t be nervous that it’s in a strip mall — they’ve totally remodeled it and have made it so relaxing and quiet.

Was really wanting a massage Sat evening and upon calling a few budget friendly spa places in Kihei that didn’t have any availability until Tuesday, this one could take us Monday morning.
Located in a shopping mall facing the street, across from Kameole beach they have advertising saying $ 79 for 60 min special.
They have a successful location in Kaanapali and I believe this one opened not too long ago.
My fiancé came in for a «couples massage» but were in separate rooms, totally fine, but in case you were expecting that.
I was assigned to Adrian and the massage was great. Did not need any add one like deep tissue, hot stones, etc but if I did it was about $ 10 which is not much. He was really attentive and made conversation but didn’t talk your ear off which is nice when you want to relax.
My fiancé had Ann and he really enjoyed his massage. He was able to communicate that he was ticklish in the feet and she stayed away from that area.
Nothing special about their facility as it’s pretty no frills so don’t expect a heated table or anything but dim lighting and soothing music and nice people.

Today I walked into the Maui Massage and was able to make a same day appointment. Steve worked on me «Deep massage» and I have issues with my hips getting tightened up (4 hip surgeries) and after a short interview Steve went to work. After Steve was done I had pain relief and I felt way better. I highly recommend this place.

Yesterday I went into this nice little spa on the south side of Maui for a massage. I received an absolutely amazing massage by Jean, one of about 10 different therapists on site. She has magic hands and intuitive touch! Now no more back aches and feeling good. Then their menu offers just about everything you can imagine for a massage, including a $ 79 special that is the most popular called Hawaiian bliss. I will be going back again!

Not a great experience. Well, with one therapist in particular. I have no idea about the others.
I was in Maui to run the Maui Oceanfront Marathon and I saw saw Michelle Hebert prior to my race. Michelle proceeded to spend a lot of time talking and «diagnosing» my problem. I hadn’t asked her opinion or her advise but she felt she should anyway. She proceeded to diagnose me with drop-​foot (!!) and shin splints (?!) I told her no, I did not have either of those but she replied «you might not think you do, but you do.»
What I did not tell Michelle is that I am also a registered massage therapist and trainer and my sister (who was with me) is a Physiotherapist. Add that to the fact that I am regularly treated by one of THE best Sports Physiotherapists on the west coast (who had a good laugh when I returned and told him my new «diagnosis».)
Massage itself was quite good! I wish she would have just stopped talking. But, it gets worse…
Michelle left the room so I could get dressed and once I had done so I left a cash tip on the counter in the therapy room. Michelle returned from the front desk and came in saying «I noticed that you didn’t leave a tip when you paid up front?»
I was floored! Unbelievable. Why on earth would I pre-​pay a tip for a service? What if I hated it? As far as I’m aware, tips are based on the quality of service provided. This was extremely unprofessional and in poor taste. I pointed to the cash I had left on the counter and left.
Bottom line: if you want a pretty decent massage with lots of unsolicited advice and a shake-​down for tips, this is the lady to see!
