Uptown Keyport Bar & Grill

Awesome place. Great open bar, cheap drinks, super friendly bartenders and guests. Just an amazing vibe and atmosphere all together. The live band performing («Jimmy shoez and the magooz») were so entertaining and talented. We stumbled upon this place by accident and couldn’t have been more happy with the experience.

Holy smoke stacks… too many smokers. The bar inside has doors open to an outdoor sitting area and people think because they stand at the door way they are smoking outside. Sat down for 10 minutes not crowded never served so we left. Bar tender watching game on TV never turned around.

Great local bar, very friendly, affordable… owner is a great guy i grew up knowing so i am biased, lol, but really nice facility… ocean views, harbour… food can be ordered in… nice juke box,

Two stars only because of the pool table.
Otherwise, NO PERSONALITY. I’m referring to the bartender, the beer «selection,» and the atmosphere.
Bartender: Didn’t smile once or attempt to say hello and was very rude to my friends and me. Looked as if he didn’t want to be bothered, and when we asked for a drink he made a face like «ugh.» He was on his cell phone half the time and his attempt to ask for refills went like this: (points at my girlfriend’s cup with a snotty look on) «Another?» Would have gotten a nice tip out of us if he wasn’t such a d**k.
Beer «Selection:» Okay I know it’s a dive, but still. Basically only had bum drinks. Not even Guinness on tap. Pretty big turn-​off to people like me who enjoy good beer.
Atmosphere: Went on a Wednesday night, but still. Cold (I’m not just talking about the temperature) and uninviting. Nobody was smiling or laughing. It was ultra depressing. I wanted to get out of there ASAP, and would have if they didn’t have pool. That is the only redeeming quality of this bar to me. I mean it was clean, per se, but it was the eerie kind of clean.
I’m not saying don’t go here. By all means, do. I’m just saying you probably won’t go back.

Great place good music great times! Loads of tv’s on every wall even outside ! Sports fanatic dream. Service is excellent and drinks are very very reasonable. Place is absolutely immaculate. Bathrooms spotless. Was there on a Sunday afternoon on the deck and we had a great time. Bring your friends and enjoy the day. And the sunset can’t be beat.

I brought my dog here and my golden was loved by everyone there! even the employees was caring and brought her water every hour! great people great views and cheap drinks! cant go wrong loved it

Nice local shore bar. Although they didnt have food, you can bring food to the bar or have it delivered there. Great birthday party special and happy hour specials ($ 2.50 domestic bottles and $ 3 shots) Where can you get a beer for $ 2 on a Sunday except here? They opened up the patio bar for the summer and we enjoyed a nice view from patio and we got to see a sunset while eating our tacos from the Mexican restaurant next door with a couple of Coronas. Such a pleasant experience. Was told they also have bands on the weekends. We went on a Monday. Was a great way to transition into the new week.

This is a great spot overlooking the Keyport Harbor. The porch bar is up on a deck surrounded by an outdoor patio area. It is a great place for happy hour or to unwind after crabbing. Open air with a good cross breeze and fans made it very comfortable on this covered deck bar. Porch/​deck area has a digital juke box and 13 TVs. No beer taps outside but $ 2 domestics till 4 then $ 2.50 domestics during happy hour 4−7pm. $ 3 house shots every day 4 till 7.
The indoor area is HUGE and if they have bands you could envision this place rockn. Inside there is a pool table and another juke box.
No food but feel free to order and have it delivered. Our bartender was very friendly and brought us menus to order from. The Mexican place she recommended was good and we enjoyed the food.

As local as it gets, but they actually have quite a nice outdoor deck that they just renovated again (added even more seating). Great views of the bay and some colorful types frequent this place, really quite diverse. Don’t let that scare you, everyone is welcoming and inviting. Cheap drinks. I’d list all the crazy things I’ve seen go on here, but that would be ruining the fun.
And they open at 7am. If that’s your thing.

So I went there tonight with a few friends. I heard it used to be a trashy hellhole but was recently redone. It was super nice inside… clean. Unfortunately at around 1:30 the owner or management lady lights up a cigarette in the middle of the bar, starts chugging beers and screaming at the top of her lungs for everybody to «GET THE F OUT GET OUT I SAID GET THE F OUT» Literally in peoples faces, spitting on them, screaming. It was so gross. Just goes to show you, you can remodel a place, but the thrash remains the same. White thrash is the only word I can use to describe what I witnessed tonight.
