Description

Specialties

As a great restaurant in Havana once said, «The fish you eat today slept in the ocean last night.» We get fresh fish straight from Key West’s fishermen daily. Serving you delicious food with a side of the best entertainers in town is our daily (and nightly) special. Follow that up with a friendly staff, add in some locals for flavor, and you’ve got our secret recipe for great times… every time.

History

Established in 2012.

Started by a local Key West stone crab fishing family, The Stoned Crab Restaurant is located in the historic 1956 Ibis Bay Beach Resort in Key West. The restaurant’s fishing boats deliver their daily catch to the dock in front of the restaurant at the end of each day. The crabs are boiled right on the dock, while lobsters and fish go straight to the kitchen to be cleaned and prepared. its great fun seeing live lobsters and crabs come straight off the boats. If you want to experience what REALLY fresh seafood tastes like, this is the place. The Stoned Crab is the only restaurant with its own fishing boats and owned by local fishermen. Bring a camera!

Meet the Business Owner

Tony O.

Business Owner

The Osborn family has a long fishing tradition in Key West. Zane, the youngest family member started selling his catch when he was just 7. At 18 he now has his own fishing boat and 1400 crab and lobster traps. Family father, Tony and older brother Alex each have their own boats and are out on the water fishing as I write this. Scarlett, the only Osborn daughter books fishing charters and other water excursions for The Ibis Bay Hotel’s FunDesk. She also designs a bathing suit line called S.O.S. that was featured in a New York fashion show in 2012 and was the main feature of that show on local network TV in NYC.
