Had slices multiple times on my way home from drinks with friends and they’re the best slice in town. Ordered a few meatballs at a buck a piece and they were great as well. Open till 4am and a Philly establishment. Fast. Clean and damn good

This place is a for sure visit when coming to key west. The pizza is fantastic and has that rustic crunch on the crunch and the cheese and toppings don’t just fall of the top you have to actually take a bite. The prices are great too if you just want to grab a quick bite to eat and not drop $ 30 like everywhere else on the street. We have eaten at all the other pizza places and will be back here every trip down.

Reviewed these guys on Google and I felt it would be an injustice not to endorse them in the Unilocalersphere! As soon as I walked past the that night and smelled the goodness that was being fanned out of the window, there was only on thought in my mind –Philly! Let me tell you I have looked far and wide for a «Philly Cheesesteak» outside of Philly and I have only been left disappointed and hungry time and time again until I found this place… The meat is cooked to perfection and the cheese flows as if from heaven. Then their is the fries, when you order them bring a friend because it takes a team to counqure the mountain of fries. I recommend with the melted American cheese. The fries could only be made better if I was allowed to ladle it on myself. For first timers I give 3 tips. 1. Come hungry. 2. Cash is king leave the plastic at home. 3. Tips the guys creating culinary heaven behind the counter.

Really awsome pizza. Better then any pizza I’ve had in Indy. Very much NY Style that I love. Fold in half yummy. Super busy place with three guys behind the counter working their butts off. Even got to hear some DJ Sammy — Heaven.

Went here on NYE after a couple of drinks. It definitely gets a lot of business, but they are really fast. They have cheese and pepperoni by the slice, which is what we ordered. It’s like 2.50 a slice or something; New York style: thin, greasy, but delicious. It really hit the spot after a night out, I would definitely go back:)

Looking for something tasty and not touristy on Duvall St in Key West. Rarity, sell HUGE fresh slices of cheese and pepperoni pizzas. Stromboli is huge. Takes 25 minutes to cook. Worth the wait. Pizza crust is NYC style but classic and better Philly crust. Lots of variations on Philly cheesesteak; pizza, Stromboli, salad. Pepsi products. Owner are awesome guys. They take care of you. 5+ Stars

Solid slice of pizza and an amazing cheese steak sandwich. Makes you feel like your at home in NJ/​PA area. Excellent!

A must-​stop for us any time we’re in Key West. My brothers and dad swear by the cheesesteaks, and I am extremely partial to the pizza. The crust is NY style with a nice crisp bottom and it’s all so fresh. I’ve also shared cheese fries and they are to die for. Can’t miss it.

Not much else to say about this place, super tiny hidden hole in the wall. For what I got this is one of the locals favorite and after I had their pizza I am not surprised a bit. After a few drinks around town we were ready to grab a bite and one of our friends recommended this place. We call, place our order and boom, 15 min later pizza was ready. Super fast, really good pizza and the guys/​workers were super friendly. I recommend this place 100% good affordable pizza and good service

By far thee best Philly in the world, I have no doubt of this.
I have tried them all around in other places and traveled far and wide, and I was never a cheese steak fan until I had one here. The reason is that everywhere I’ve had them, they have stale coarse bread, very sparse meat, and the cheapest cheese ever. Not only that, but also everywhere you go, the meat is very dried out.
The philly here is like heaven, if that place actually exists, then it’s tucked in a small part of town down in Key West. The meat is plentiful and so moist (I like that word), it’s just so good. The bread is the softest in the world and the white american cheese– it’s thick, decadent, and they give you a lot. I also tried one with the OG cheese wiz, but much prefer American.
I also have to add that we stop by here 2 – 3 times during every visit to KW and can’t help but notice how the locals always order the pizza, so we gave it a try. Honestly, it’s simple but delicious as well with a sweet sauce and they give you a lot of meat. You have no choice but to get both the cheese steak and pizza.
I wish there was a Mr Z’s everywhere :(The only suggestion I have is for when they packed your food to go– to use foil and enclose the Philly because wrapping it in a plate should be a sin, the plate steals half of your cheese.

You people are pretty critical for an an affordable all day-​all nite place to eat… the owner and employees work their butts off to keep it that way… locals love it… if you have a gripe with Mr. Z’s stay away cause you just get in the way of us grateful locals. The reviews I read are petty and unfounded, you people dont deserve to walk in those hallowed doors!
Walgreens is around the corner… get yourselves some «cup O noodles»

^^2 ½ Stars. Having decided to stay in for a low-​key Saturday night, we opted to order a large pie for delivery. The order was for ½ pepperoni, ½ cheese. My husband asked if they take credit cards and the guy on the phone said no, cash only. The delivery time provided was 45 minutes.
Within 30 minutes our hot pizza had arrived. Oh joy! There is something about a pie arriving at my doorstep that always puts a smile on my face. Mmmm. Pizza.
Quickly we ran for the condiments to decorate our slices in the usual systematic ritual. My husband added the jalapeños and myself oregano and red pepper flakes. I was a bit late with the food photobomb as we were excited to chow down.
At first my slice tasted a-​okay and I thought, I can do this again. However, the closer I got with each bite to the crust, the greasier and greasier it tasted. The oil also had a flavor to it I wasn’t used to on a pie which was very off-​putting. Was it olive oil? EVOO? I don’t know, but it left a very oily taste which coated my lips and mouth. My husband wasn’t very impressed either. He too thought it was very greasy.
Oh well. I gave it a shot. You decide.

I felt a bit like Kevin McCallister when the knock came to my hotel room door late at night. The cost was, of course, slightly more than the $ 11.80 Kevin paid. Thanks a lot, inflation. But, I devoured said pizza in a drunken haze, and it was exactly what one desires in a late-​night local pizza delivery joint.
Thanks for easing the pain, y’all!

You just spent a long, sweltering, booze-​filled day bouncing between Sloppy Joes (live band), Smokin Tuna (more live bands), Hogs Breath (live webcam), The Littlest Bar (cheap Jäger Bombs), Two Friends (karaōke), Rick’s Bar (boobies), Captain Tony’s (pirate punch/​bras on ceiling), Cowboy Bill’s (the bull) — you finally get it. You. are. drunk. You. are. hangry (so hungry, you’re angry). You need to eat. Enter: Mr. Z’s. A no frills, tiny pizza joint just off Duval near the Pegasus Hotel. My recollection of Mr. Z’s is fuzzy, but I do know the Pizza is damn good. In my opinion, the best in Key West. I’ve stopped in here on many occasions (both drunk and sober) and the pizza is always piping hot and delicious. And, I don’t say this lightly as I’m from Jersey after all. BUT, let’s not forget the REAL superstar of the show: Mr. Z’s FAMOUS CHEESE FRIES. Trust me here people, you want these in your mouth. Even if you don’t like French fries or cheese, the marriage of these two foods is a blessing from the Gods. The dipping cheese is nothing short of crack-​tastic and addictive. Not sure how they make it or where they get it, but you’ll be asking for extra and you will result to sucking every last bit from your fingertips. Believe it! There is absolutely no ambiance at Mr. Z’s — just a bunch of guys slinging pizza and yelling orders. But, they get the job done — cheap and fast. Get your food and take it to go. Eat on the street corner if you must. Or, take it back to your pricey hotel and enjoy it on the balcony or byy the pool. The combination of pizza and cheese fries soaks up all the poison and let’s you go on drinking for another day. I love you Mr. Z’s!

I had a chance to visit Mr Z’s, a highly recommended spot for Authentic Philly Cheese steak while visiting in Key West and for sure I came to the right place. I ordered 1 cheese steak and ate it there and it was so good I ordered another one to go for later. They use the freshest quality hoagie rolls from Philadelphia’s own Amoroso’ s Baking Company. I saw the boxes stacked in the Kitchen with my own eyes so I know this to be true. It’s a very small place with a counter along the wall and I expect it could be very busy with lines during late night hours, but I was there on a Mid-​week afternoon and the service was top quality. I was so impressed with the quality of the food, the Service I even purchased one of their Tie Dyed T-​Shirts and will wear it proudly. They even had my size which is rare.

Also had the cheese fries and I liked that cheese was on the side. Business hours are also amazing!
Only downfall was delivery took an hour and the guy answering the phone didn’t seem very hospitable.
I Would order from them again.

Mr. Z’s Pizza is the quintessential late night pizza in Key West, I’ve come to find out.
Sure, there are a lot of pizza joints in Key West serving all the drunk revelers, but this one was my favorite. It’s very New York thin crust pizza style. All the grease you love without that doughy taste.
Service is fine and fast. There’s not much room to sit down and enjoy here, just some standup counters if you don’t want to walk home while you eat.
I went to a few pizza places while in Key West, and this one had the best prices and best quality pizza.
