Key Lime Cafe

Stopped for a quick bite on our way to Marathon and am happy to add to the good reviews that sent us here! We were part of a big group with kids, and all our food was cooked to order and delicious! The fish tacos were light and seasoned well, and the homemade fries made for a filling but not too heavy lunch. Everyone was friendly and the cook even came out with treats for the kids after our meal. Definitely worth a stop!

I have just returned to Key Lime Café since I first discovered it a year ago (I live in NH so I come down here as a snow bird). It is one of three eating places that are a must in the upper Keys. I have also been a snow bird in NM, CA, TX, and AZ, all of which states support excellent tacos, but the best fish tacos I have ever eaten are right here in Key Largo at the jct of the Overseas Hwy and Lobster Lane! No matter if you’re driving S or N, slow down, pull over, and eat. Hand cut fries, coleslaw, and Key lime pie are good, too! Conversation too, esp. for fish taco, conch fritter, shrimp platter aficionados!

Great deal for what you’re getting. All the food was delicious and Jenny was a sweat heart. Cracked conch was super fresh (beaten in front of us). Key lime cookies and pies were awesome even the hotdogs and chicken fingers were awesome.

Janelle is the sweetest chef you’ll ever meet in the Keys. My husband and I have been coming here since she opened & have always been happy with her food. The conch fritters are full of conch, the smoked fish dip is plentiful & always delicious, and the fish tacos are superb! For dessert, have the key lime pie from the store; it’s the best key lime pie you’ll ever have. It’s nothing fancy but the food and service is always great. And anyway, isn’t that what the Keys are all about: good local food.

We came last year and had the best conch basket ever. The four stars is because we came again all the way down from Isla Morada and they stop serving food at 5 o’clock! So we missed it! What a bummer we were disappointed.

Wonderful little lunch shack located on the Key Lime Products property. Serves an awesome deep fried conch in a basket over fries and marvelous Key Lime shakes. Don’t miss this spot! Be sure to stop inside the gift store for all things Key Lime.
