Bertran Jorge Luis MD

I have been seeing Dr Bertran for over 20 years, my brother goes there as well as I. I was very sick today, and couldn’t make his office and all i wanted was a phone call from him — he is an amazing doctor but his front desk staff is rude and off putting. As a family doctor his staff should make sure a level of customer service is provided and it shouldn’t matter what I needed — all i wanted was a phone call. Sad to leave this review.

I like Dr Bertran, I have been going there for almost 8 years now and take there my 3 kids and he has been great. Love the fact that I don’t have to wait to see him … He answer the phone on the weekends himself. Like the location !!!

Horrible staff, obnoxious doctor that makes his job to make you feel inadequate as a parents and pushing drugs /​anti-​biotics. Never again!

Dr Betran is a HORRIBLE DR. He has no bedside manners and is very sarcastic. I know you may think its convenient because he is in Key Biscayne but your child’s health and care is very important it is not worth compromising. The staff is HORRIBLE and rude. I have currently changed from Betran to a Dr off of Key Biscayne and WOW what a difference. If you are older and barely go then he may be ok but for children he is HORRIBLE. I was patient but i couldn’t take it anymore.

Not everyone loves Dr. Bertran, but I do. He’s best known as a pediatrician, but he’s actually a family doctor~my husband uses him as his primary.
The office is small, nothing fancy. It’s conveniently located in the Winn-​Dixie plaza on Key Biscayne, where I can grocery shop or pick up a prescription following the appointment. I find the staff friendly and helpful, and it’s ridiculously easy to get a timely appointment.
Like the office, Dr. Bertran is not fancy. He rarely wants my input, which was initially off-​putting. Then I realized that it’s my son he wants to hear from: he listens to my 2yr old! What a concept, talk to the patient and not his worried mother! The more experience I have with the doctor, the more I find I trust him completely and I’ve even gone so far as to recommend him to strangers. We agree on vaccinations, and I find that I like his sometimes curt attitude. I want a doctor who is serious and provides solid treatment, I don’t need a hand-​holder. Plus he’s a graduate of Columbia Med School, and yes, I’m an education snob.
Dr. Bertran is a match for my family.
